DEWALT DW7464 52-Inch Precision Table Saw Fence Rail System

I just received this table and installed it and I must say that it is a great addition to a great saw. I have been very happy with all of DeWalt's products and it seems that they are always listening to their customers.

Unlike the previous reviewers who had issues with leveling the table with the mobile base and a narrow bracket, my unit came with both issues addressed. The unit I received (obviously modified based on similar feedback from customers) came with adjusting slots (rather than holes) at the bottom of the legs (where they connect to the feet) which allow the user to adjust the length of the table legs to fit a mobile base (which I have). The bracket that connects the table is now the full width of the table and provides a very solid connection for the extension.

I was able to level the table nicely and easily with the added adjustment capabilities and I put the new fence rails to use immediately. The only way I could have been happier with the table is if I was able to keep the right cast iron wing attached to the table.

One word of warning to anyone who wants to upgrade to the 52" rail system is that the extension table mounts to the saw table directly so you have to remove the wing on the right side. I bought a couple of cast iron wings (another great upgrade) at the same time as the 52" fence rail kit and now I have an extra wing hanging around.

I just purchased a DW746 table saw with the DEWALT DW7464 52" Precision Fence Rail System and mobile base. The packaging was top notch and the quality of parts was very good as well. However, as mentioned in other reviews of this product, when it comes to leveling the table (using the mobile base), the support legs on the right are not long enough to level the table properly. Also, the bracket that's used to attach the table to the saw is not wide enough. When I bolted the table top to the right side of the saw, the table top would sag on both the front and back edges (at the joint). DeWalt should have ran the angle iron the whole width of the table top. I had to add additional supports supports to keep this from happening. Other than that, the table is a great addition and makes cutting large pieces a breeze.

The 52" fence extension and table add considerable versatility to the DW744. The only problem is some difficulty in leveling and securing the table when using the mobil base. Even though the instructions tell you to lower the adjustable feet on the right table legs (to compensate for the added height of the mobil base), you'll probably find that the top bolts/lock nuts at both far right ends of the table will not fit in the slots provided. The solution of course is to get out the drill and add a hole for the bolt, but DW should have thought this out a little better before going into production.
