Did not last2004-08-04
I used this drill for about a year. Because of the dual speed and hammer/drill combo it is very versatile. However, it burned up on me tonight while running some screws into concrete. I expect my tools to last a lot longer than 1 year. I would recommend that you look at the Milwaukee or Bosch if you plan on doing anything other than light work.
It Works, It Works, It Works !!!2002-12-31
I have a habit of sticking with yellow first of all, But I can't say it does not do the job, I drill holes in cement on a regular basis and it does the job, Though I must say if your going to do alot of drilling into cement with large drill bits over 1/2 inch , you should think about a more heavier duty drill.
This one is small and not something you can really lean on with weight and the plasic case on the drill does not remind me of something that is forgiving. I will be able to get a better judge of this product after it's been droped a few times and still stands up to the task, not that this is what happens all the time, but it will tell you what is heavy duty and what's not !
what a piece of junk2001-03-09
I owned this yellow piece of garbage for less than a week. The cheap plastic case cracked while hammering into concrete. I thought I'd go with DeWalt this time since it was cheaper than the Milwaukee. Sure am glad I was able to get my money back and buy a real tool. No more toys for my crew. Milwaukee all the way, I should have known better, I have yet to have any Milwaukee tool fail on me. Don't know why it cracked, maybe it was too cold outside or something, but regardless, that should not have happened.
Great drill for the price.2001-01-09
The power delivery on this hammer drill was fantastic. I had a complicated drill operation thru' metal followed by concrete. So I had to switch bits thru' the operation. But it was not a problem and performed better than I anticipated. For $160, you are getting a hammer drill, with 2 speeds and reversing power.

Better get good bits for this baby 'cos it drills good. The bits will most likely be the weak link. The 7.2 amp rating is beat only by the 8.5 amp.
