kitchen aid mixer attachment pack
2007-03-05absolutely the worst service ever. i ordered the item on 6 jan 07 and it has been delayed twice! the latest until sometime in april! never again!

Wooden plunger no longer available
2007-02-13The wooden plunger is no longer available from kitchenaid. They provide a combo wrench/plunger made from plastic, which creates too much suction when grinding meat. This especially holds true when trying to stuff sausage. Other than that, the grinder attachment works well.

Best Deal for the Attachments
2007-02-06I wanted to make sure that after I bought my kitchen aid mixer that I didn't limit my abilities with it so I purchased this attachment pack. So far I've only used the meat grinder. But I used it with the pasta plates that I bought from amazon as well. You need the meat grinder to use the pasta plates. The reviews for the pasta plates were a little scary, but they worked like a charm. My first attempt with the dough came out great and hooked right on the dough hook. Then you just feed small amounts into the meat grinder and out comes the pasta of your choice. We made angle hair and first and it came out perfect! If you have a kitchen aid I highly recommend getting the most out of it with the attachments. The clean up is very easy!

Great item for the price I bought
2005-08-24This attachment pack is great for my mixer. The four piece shredder turns out to be better than what I expected. At first, I think it would be made out of thin metal, but it comes out to be thick, strong metal. Also, the food grinder, wrench, and shredder housing look and feel like it was made out of sturdy plastic. The pouring shield is a two piece shield, although I want it to be a one piece shield...I guess it will do for now.

Oh, by the way, the attachment is still in its original box so I can't tell you how well it works, I am only telling you how it look and feel.

Great core set of KitchenAid accessories!
2004-08-21This set provides the basic accessory tools for your KitchenAid stand mixer. All parts are very well made - even though I was a little leery of the plastic on the grinder, it appears to be well made and should last well. The shredder works well, and I found it to be much easier to use and clean than I expected.
Another reviewer mentioned that two pairs of pliers were needed to disassemble the shaft from the cone, but the socket built into the housing for that purpose works well for me (no tools needed). Onions worked fine on the shredder; does a nice job on shredding potatoes and squash! Some potato skins did work their way between the cone and the housing, but not enough to cause much of a problem (just needs a little care).
Overall, I am quite happy with this set. Cost is about $10 less for the set than I'd been able to find for just the grinder and the shredder separately, so the shield is a bonus.
