Just what I needed2007-02-08
Purchased a Leica Minilux Zoom, and this is the dedicated flash that goes with it. Just what I was looking for at a fair price.
Good add on...2002-02-05
I was surprised by the price of this item... In comparison to the price of the other Leica accessories this is a nice STYLISH addition to your Minilux Zoom for very little money. I found that regardless of red eye reduction build into the camera I would still get it occasionally. This flash is the best way to eliminate that. Also it uses AA batteries which means that you don't have to search for the special power source every time you run out. 35mm angle of coverage is good enough when I need to shoot indoors and more than enough if I want to be creative and use it for fill in flash. Pretty fast recycle ratio (about 5 sec). And since the unit is very small I find my self to carry it often and my flash photography doesn't have this typical Point and Shoot look. But the quality of marksmanship has a little room for improvement. Unit doesn't feel as good and sturdy as the camera itself.
