Who needs a power cord?
2003-05-24After buying the Bosch 24 volt package, I am now finding dust collecting on my matching corded tools. I have found the reciprocating saw does run down the batteries quicker than the other tools, but I do like the tooless blade changing lever on the reciprocating saw and the jig saw. All the tools are top-notch performers. I love the easy height blade adjustment on the circular saw. It fell 25 feet off a roof and worked just fine after. (lucky for me, this saw is built). I did find out from Bosch that the batteries should be charged when the tool starts slowing down, and should never be run down to nothing, like the old nickle -cadmium batteries that developed a memory. Bosch makes a great product here!

Bosch saw
2003-01-09This saw works well for small jobs, but you do have to be careful that you do not bind the saw blade. It is not nearly as powerful as a corded saw.

this saw rocks
2002-10-25I have used every cordless saw avaible, and this one comes the closest to replacing it's corded counterpart. My wormdrive still looks new because I only get it out for BIG cutting jobs. I wish the thumb saftey was placed where it could be engaged without contorting my hand (like the Makita) but I bought it for power and precision, and Bosch delivers

Throw Away Your Corded Circular Saw
2002-06-29I've had this saw for about 2 years now, and all I can say is WOW!!! I bought this and the drill in the combo pack because I thought the cordless feature would be nice. Little did I realize that I would rarely use my corded saw again. The run time is excellent. I figure you can cut about 100 feet or so of plywood on a single charge. The saw doesn't bog if your cutting thicker stock. I've cut stacks of 7/16" OSB 4 sheets high and the saw didn't bog once. In fact, I've cut into a concrete floor ( accidently ) with this saw and it didn't even stop, and the cut in the concrete was about 3/16" deep by 6" long. And with the blade on the left side makes it that much better. If you're looking at a good cordless saw that will take abuse and has plenty of juice, this is your saw.

HEAVYWEIGHT HOMEMAKER MODEL
2001-10-30Anxiously awaited the arrival of this saw. Expected top quality from my experience with other Bosch tools I own. Somebody forgot to tell the designers that a heavy duty saw needs to have a heavy duty handle! The handle on this thing feels like a piece of flexible plastic that belongs on a toy rather than on a power tool! Unfortunately, Bosch says I need to return it if I'm unhappy with it, to Tool Crib. If I do this I need to pay a restocking fee plus the shipping from Hawaii. Live and learn I guess, never buy sight unseen!
