Hewlett Packard 9100C Flatbed Digital Sender with ENET 50-Page ADF 10/100BT

Product Description:

Welcome to the digital age with Hewlett-Packard's HP 9100C digital sender. This desktop device looks a printer/scanner combination, but it is a communication device that converts paper documents into digital information to be sent by email. The HP 9100C digital sender sends documents at the price of email, the speed of a fax, with the quality of an overnight-expressed original. Send almost any paper-based information - documents, brochures, contracts, medical images or billing, whether monochrome or color. The documents are compressed and converted to PDF or TIFF files. Once the transmission is completed, the information can be reformatted, edited, printed or even stored by the receiving party. Documents can be sent to different people in different locations - at the same time. Plus information can be sent directly to a recipient's PC for transmission of sensitive information. The 50-page automatic document feeder is handy for unattended transmission of multi-page documents such as draft reports or contracts. The pre-installed HP JetDirect EIO internal print server supports Token Ring network connections. The HP 9100C can be quickly installed without modifications to systems or extra user training. It comes with an installation guide and user manual, plus required software: HP JetAdmin, HP Address Book Manager, HP Digital Sender Service, Administrative Guide, HP Digital Sender Link, HP Digital Sender Link, Adobe Acrobat Reader and Adobe Circulate. The device is also simple to use. Documents are loaded into the automatic document feeder, the send-to address is entered or selected from a list, and the send button is pushed.

Customer Reviews

Fabulous Machine2004-04-20
We've used the HP 9100 scanner in our office since it was first introduced - (eight-ten years ?? ago).... We use it in our business to scan our daily incoming faxes and important mail to our network for managers to read. Faxes are also automatically emailed to managers at remote sites. This machine has resulted in a remarkable improvement in efficiency. No more lost faxes!
The machine paid for itself the first few months in paper reduction alone.
We also scan all of our important business documents for off-site storage.
Last year, after many hundreds of thousands of cycles, our original machine gave up the ghost. HP exchanged the machine for a new one at a greatly reduced price, and we were back on line with little downtime.
We're very happy and strongly recommend this machine for scanning and storage of large quantities of documents.

Audio & Video Connections Guide
" For a list of all the ways technology has failed to improve the quality of life, please press three." - Alice Kahn This quote is certainly applicable to consumer electronics. From the very first commercially produced radios to the latest in high-definition television technology, the manner in which the components used to deliver our news, music, movies and entertainment are interconnected seems to have escaped logic. For both the newcomer and the old hand alike, connecting equipment in the most efficient and effective manner can be a painful chore. It is hoped this article will improve your background knowledge concerning potential A/V system connection schemes and where each is most appropriate. The next time you find yourself in a "connectivity quandary" perhaps the ideas shared here will help you to quickly solve the riddle of which wire goes where and why! Digital camera batteries
Batteries are vital for all photography and makiing sure that you have a spare set is essential if you intend to take alot of pictures. Print digital also recommend that when deciding upon a digital camera keep in mind what sort of batteries it takes. Does it take rechargeable batteries, are the batteries built and do you have to plug it into the mains, or does the camera only take standard batteries, if so then it can become exspensive if you are a keen photographer and use the camera alot. There are three types of rechargeable batteries: NiCD, NiMH and Lithium-Ion. Nickel Metal Hydride are the most popular rechargeable batteries at present. They hold more charge than their counter parts NiCD and don't suffer from memory effect. The one small down fall of these batteries is that they will loose a small amount of charge even if they are not being used, so be sure to check the batteries before using them. When you purchase a new digital camera make sure to ask what type of battery ...
