A two-tone finish brings a stylish look to the versatile Prima Super 105X. The autofocus lens, surrounded by the familiar Canon circle motif, is a 38-105mm f/3.8-9.9 zoom. Two aspherical lens elements are used in the 6 element/6 group design to provide outstanding correction of aberrations and high image quality across the full zoom range. The camera features an active 3-point AIAF system for off-center focusing. There is the option of 1-point center focusing for the more advanced user, as well as a -2.5 to +0.5 diopter viewfinder eyepiece adjustment.Camera operation is easy. A Best Shot dial on the back provides five settings: Auto, RT, Portrait, Spot and Night Scene. Exposure control is fully automatic using 3-zone Program AE, with the options of ?1.5 stops exposure compensation and spot metering (effective in strong-contrast situations). The built-in sliding flash has a guide number of 14.7 (ISO 100, m) and an operating range from 0.6 to 6.5 meters at the 38mm zoom setting. The flash can be set to fire automatically in low light or backlit conditions (with or without red-eye reduction). It can also be switched on for every exposure, or switched off, or set for slow-synchro with red-eye reduction. The Prima Super 105X balances function, design, ease of use and cost to provide an outstanding 35mm compact camera for the discerning user.
