good camera, no zoom.
2004-12-07I got this camera to take on a trip with me to Europe. I needed a camera that was a no brainer to load because I am very very bad at loading and unloading 35mm cameras. The pictures came out beautifully then and still do after 5 years.
pros: easy to use-easy film loading-film rewinds automatically when roll is finished-has a great shutter to protect the lens and when shutter is closed camera will not shoot off (which saves from wasted pictures due to accidently firing-three landscape setting (short, regular, and panoramic/long)-auto red-eye reduction (never had a red-eye problem)-it has an automatc flash feature (flash will not go off outdoor when it's sunny-but note that it can NOT be turned off)-and counter on the back lets you know how many pictures were taken.
cons: no zoom-up close pictures come out kind of blurry (it's a livable blurry though)- aps film is a little more expensive to develop-kodak film (which is more expensive) will produce better picture quality than other non-kodak brands-when pictures are taken indoors with too much sunlight pouring in pictures come out dark if at all (this can be easily avoided if you think about it)
summary: I really like this camera-it meets my needs as someone who just wants pictures to scan, put in photo albums and scrapbooks, and give to family. Takes really good pictures (not so good in sunny indoor corners) and is very easy to load and use. If you can live without a zoom (i have for 5 years) then this is a very good camera to go with.

Professional video camera
A Professional video camera (often called a Television camera even though the use has spread) is a high-end device for recording electronic moving images (as opposed to a movie camera, that records the images on film). Originally developed for use in television studios, they are now commonly used for corporate and educational videos, music videos, direct-to-video movies, etc.
There are two types of professional video cameras: High end portable, recording cameras (essentially, high-end camcorders) used for ENG and EFP image acquisition, and studio cameras which lack the recording capability of a camcorder, and are often fixed on studio pedestals. Portable professional cameras are generally much larger than consumer cameras and are designed to be carried on the shoulder.
