Did the Job!
2009-05-08No complaints about these Camcorder Cassettes. Price was better than most places, so was a pretty good deal. High quality, vivid color, sound good too. No graininess, no problem. Loaded easily, easy to use.

Not Hi-8 tapes
2008-10-08Be careful! I ordered 3 4-packs. Thought they were Hi-8 tapes but received standard 8mm ones.

Consistent performer over the years
2008-06-25I've been using the Sony Hi8 tapes since my daughter was born in 2003. I've never had a problem. Amazon has th ebest price consistently and they are getting hard to find at offline stores now.

excellent product
2008-01-14I have tried other brand names and this is the only one that keeps the quality over decades. I strongly recommend it.

Consistently excellent
2007-11-22I've used Sony Hi-8 tapes for years and although tape is now considered somewhat archaic, if you have a camcorder that uses Hi-8 or Digital, you can't go wrong with these. I've never had a problem with them when shooting in some rather extreme situations. The camera hasn't always performed like I want, but the tape itself has never been the source of a problem. Shop around for the best price.

White Balance - If you ever ended up with yellow-tinted video, chances are you forgot to white balance. It's worthwhile to white balance every time you use your camera to get the highest quality video. If your camera doesn't have this feature, it may have an automatic or internal system. What white balancing does is adjust the intensity of the colors being recorded according to the existing light. Make sure you white balance every time the lighting conditions change; if you record video inside and then go outside, your lighting conditions have changed and you need to instruc ...
Driving with a cell phone is a lot less dangerous than driving on prescription drugs
There's a lot of debate today about the safety of using cell phones while driving. Statistics show that those who use cell phones while driving cause a much greater percentage of accidents than those who avoid using their cell phones. And the studies have shown that it's not just the physical coordination required to punch numbers into the cell phone while you're trying to work the vehicle that causes accidents; it's actually the lack of attention resulting from driving and talking on the cell phone at the same time. It seems that when you're distracted, you're more likely to cause accidents.
In terms of public safety, it's probably correct to say that banning cell phones would reduce the number of traffic accidents. But I think, more accurately, it depends on the person. Some people are operating on, shall we say, lower power CPUs in their heads to begin with. They might be zoned out on prescription drugs, and when you add a cell phone to the equation, they do become a danger to the ...
