MUCH LITER THEN THE 18V, BUT WITH ALL THE POEWR YOU WILL NEED. ITS A LITTLE SLOWER THEN A CORDED GUN BUT LEAVES YOU FREE TO MOVE AROUND. IF YOU DO ROCK GET ONE YOU WILL LOVE IT. IT IS A LITTLE PRICEY BUT IF YOUR USEING IT TO MAKE MONEY IT WILL PAY YOU BACK ON EVERY JOB.

this gun has been a constant part of my tool inventory for over 8 years now. the dewalt dw979-k is a hard tool to beat in the metal stud framer's/drywaller's world. the combination of the speed, weight and versatility of this screwgun is unrivaled on any commercial jobsite in my opinion. i demand more than i should from this gun, but it has never let me down. dropped from the top of a 22' parapit wall, my dw979-k is still running strong. i am on the third set of batteries for my dw979-k and the trigger is finally developing a short in it, this thing just wont die. a very durable, reliable companion, i just wont do without one.

No problems, no banal subplots or overwrought dialogue, just one(...) good screwdriver gun. While using it, you will feel in control, as if you've suddenly taken a stand in your life and are not going to take any more...

The special features are great. I've never had such great bonus material on a drill. (...)Don't ask. Even if you have no money, trust me, you need this screwdriver gun. You need it now. Stop reading and go buy it. Oh yeah, and there is a little surprise in the packaging that is an absolute joy to discover when you buy it! Especially if you are a peanut fan!

I have reasantly bought this screw gun. It took a little while to adjust to the slower RPM's compared to my corded screw gun but now that I am used to it I love it. The only reason I would not give it five stars is because I do not know about its durability. It has done away with the need for one cord and that is a big plus as anyone in the construction business knows.

I have recently purchased this Dewalt Cordless Screw Gun. I run a drywall company and my tools get used and I mean really used. I have had this Cordless Screw Gun for a month and a half now and I really love it. It has elliminated a cord clutting up the job site and rotating the batteries I can use it continuously throughout the day. It took a while to get used to the slower RPM's compared to the corded screw gun that I am used to. The only reason that I would not give this tool five stars is because I do not know about its durability. Hopefully it will stand up to repeated use. I will update my review in six months. But as of right now I would say that this tool is well worth your money.
