Great for knocking out the kinks
2008-11-18I really enjoy this product. It is great for getting out the tension, however, you may have to put a pillow on top of the kneading knobs because they are kinda hard.

Was good while it lasted
2008-09-26This was great while it lasted, but I have Fibromyalgia and tight muscles so I need a deep, hard massage and this machine didn't withstand that kind of pressure for too long before it broke. The arms on the roller were made of some kind of plastic and just broke.

Very disappointed
2008-09-18Looking for relief from the constant muscle tension in my neck, I stumbled upon this massager. After reading the positive reviews I gave it a try. Unfortunately, I can't recommend this to anyone. The design of this product defies logic. No matter how you position this thing, it is terribly unconfortable to use. In my case, where I was trying to massage the base of my neck, I had to get in such an awkward position that I think I actually felt worse than before I used it. The other option is to hold it behind your neck rather than laying on it, but that only results in tired arms and shoulders.

LOVE THE UNIT BUT THE ROLLERS BREAK
2008-08-19This is the second HoMedics Shiatsu style unit I've owned and both have ended up with broken rollers. This type of roller has a specific purpose for digging into those hard to reach places in the neck and right below the shoulder blades. Maybe I'm just too rough on it! I've switched to the HoMedics back pillow and like it very much. You can see my review on the problem I had with it, though.

Marybe if your neck is really big.
2008-07-28I'm petite and bought this thinking I could get a good neck and shoulder massage out of it. Unfortunately, the massagers are too far apart to massage my neck. It's ok for the shoulders, but also doesn't seem to be made for someone my size.

Fabry Disease
Definition
Fabry disease is an inherited
genetic disorder caused by a defective gene. The disease causes fatty deposits in several
organs of the body. Males who inherit the defective gene will express the
disease. Females who have a single copy of the gene are called "carriers," and most are
asymptomatic (do not have symptoms). However, some women do have symptoms, and the severity of
these symptoms can vary widely. On occasion women may be as severely affected as men.Causes
Fabry disease is
caused by a deficiency of the enzyme alpha galactosidase-A, or GALA. GALA usually works to
clear fatty substances called glycosphingolipids from the body. However, in Fabry disease, the
absence of GALA causes this fatty substance to accumulate in the blood and blood vessel walls.
This leads to constriction of blood flow through the vessels. Eventually, the decreased blood
flow leads to problems of the skin, kidneys, heart, and nervous system.

When the Doctor Says You Need A Breast Biopsy
If detecting a lump in your breast isn’t alarming enough, being sent for a breast biopsy is! The first thing you should understand when your doctor says the words “breast biopsy” is about 75% of all biopsies are benign, or non-cancerous. The second thing you need to understand is what type of biopsy will be performed. Ask your doctor to explain the procedure and how you should prepare for your breast biopsy. It’s a good idea to refrain from taking aspirin or anti-inflammatory medication a couple weeks before the biopsy because those types of medicines will increase bleeding and bruising. There are three main types of breast cancer biopsies: fine needle aspiration, core needle biopsy or a small incision (or surgery). If you are having a surgical breast biopsy, have a friend or relative drive you to the surgery center and back home again because you will be under anesthesia during surgery. It’s also a good idea to have someone accompany you to a needle biopsy just for m ...
