Tamrac 574204 Velocity 2 Compact Messenger Camera Bag (Blue)

Product Description:

This ultra-compact messenger bag design doesn't look like a camera bag, but it's perfect for carrying a compact 35mm SLR with a zoom lens attached up to 6" long, additional lenses and a compact flash. The vertical design allows you to keep a slim profile while the Speed Flap Top and secure Easy Squeeze buckle provides quick access and complete rain coverage. For shock protection, the main compartment is padded with closed-cell foam and has adjustable, foam-padded internal dividers to provide a custom fit for equipment. In front, Tamrac's unique GearCatcher pocket system combines an open pocket with a secure zippered pocket for organizing accessories and personal items. On the front flap, a full length zippered Speed Pocket gives quick access to tickets, filters and documents. In back, a zippered pocket holds maps or instruction manuals, while a side pocket keeps your mobile phone within reach. You can add Tamrac's accessories to the shoulder strap using the attachment slots for Tamrac Strap Accessory System (S.A.S.) products to customize this messenger camera bag.

Almost perfect2007-06-29
Great size, not too stiff and holds all kinds of camera equipment without seeming too big. I can fit my Nikon D80 with lens plus an extra lens (fairly long), an SB600, batteries, filters, wallet, cell phone (pocket on the side) and other misc. The only thing it's missing is padding on the top and perhaps a top handle. Not sure why there's no padding on the top, there's plenty of room and I plan to add it myself.

It's a good bag for a day trip or longer.

And the color represented here is not correct. It's closer to a navy than a royal blue. There's plenty of pockets including a zippered one in the back that isn't shown here.
Excellent little bag2002-11-11
This is a very nice bag, big enough to carry a traditional film SLR with an extra lens, or to carry two digital cameras. That's why I bought it: to carry a large, extended zoom digital camera plus a smaller ultracompact as well. It's big enough to carry the two cameras, their chargers, batteries and memory cards...yet it's a pretty compact package: it's not sprawling and floppy like some bigger bags.

All in all, nice amount of carrying space without being too bulky, and a good deal as well

A Quick Look At the Professional Digital Camcorder
Introduction Professional digital camcorders are better than your analog camcorder, or even your digital video camera. The advancements that have been made in the camcorder industry are amazing. Just like everything else they keep getting more and more advanced, and shrinking in size. Even though we have seen much advancement, the price keeps getting more and more affordable. Even in the late 1990's most professionals were using Betamax professional quality analog recorders, though the professional digital camcorder was starting to come into its own back then. In 1997 at a press conference in Roswell, New Mexico during the 50th anniversary of the historic alleged UFO crash ...
