Value Buy, definitely recommend
2008-11-22I recently recorded a seminar in a house of worship with this - ie lots of background noise, etc, and this mic worked beautifully. to most people there might not even be a discernible difference between this and a more expensive and higher quality mic.
for the price class its in it is AMAZING. i dont think u can do better for anything under 50 bucks.
Not a happy videographer

I've had it in storage for pretty much 6 months. I recently wanted to record some video with a lavalier mic, and this is what I get. I've tried several different batteries and have attempted plugging the mic into a recorder instead of having it plugged into the camera. As you might guess, the quality doesn't get any better. I'm in the midst of scrambling to find a new mic now. Thanks for nothing Audio-Technica.
Lavalier microphone for camcorder
2008-11-19I purchased the Audio-Technica ATR-35S Lavalier Microphone a few weeks ago. I used it with two different camcorders and it worked fine with both. Sound quality is excellent for such an inexpensive item. Just what I needed to improve the quality of my online video demo's. Much more professional than using the camcorder mic itself. The included power supply makes it vastly superior to mics without power.
Definately worth the money.

2008-10-24I have used this mic on shoots for my web video program. It's worked well for me, and the slightly extra length helps when doing stand-ups and shots that require movement. And- the price was certainly right!

2008-10-22I ordered this microphone for the purpose of recording oral history stories in connection with a camcorder. Previous reviews encouraged my purchase, and in testing I'm pleased with the microphone.

Digital camera batteries
Batteries are vital for all photography and makiing sure that you have a spare set is essential if you intend to take alot of pictures. Print digital also recommend that when deciding upon a digital camera keep in mind what sort of batteries it takes. Does it take rechargeable batteries, are the batteries built and do you have to plug it into the mains, or does the camera only take standard batteries, if so then it can become exspensive if you are a keen photographer and use the camera alot.
There are three types of rechargeable batteries: NiCD, NiMH and Lithium-Ion. Nickel Metal Hydride are the most popular rechargeable batteries at present. They hold more charge than their counter parts NiCD and don't suffer from memory effect. The one small down fall of these batteries is that they will loose a small amount of charge even if they are not being used, so be sure to check the batteries before using them.
