Mic check2010-02-10
Cool mic. Received everything new, prompt. Works great on the JVC Everio camcorder, but make sure your close to the subjects. Good combination to use for simple single cam shots or twosomes.
Alright... when it worked...2009-12-20
I got this mic back in March. For the price, it was pretty decent. It only records in mono, but if you get a mono to stereo adapter, it'll record in stereo and it sounds pretty decent.

The mic worked fine until recently. The hotshoe mount broke (i fit the mic onto it and the plastic just snapped), and the mic sometimes stops working altogether. When I use the mic when filming, there are times where it just doesn't work. This is incredibly frustrating when I go edit my footage, and realize that there is NO AUDIO in some of my clips. For that reason, I'm ditching the mic and buying a different one. You've been warned...
Great Value2009-09-10
This is by no means a high quality shotgun mic,
but it is fantastic for the price!
Well built consumer item.
I used it on my Sony VX2100 and it did the job great!
sounds good2009-07-29
It haves a great sound and I recommend it, its the best you can find for this price.
Mono Mic2009-07-10
I have a Sony VX2000, my internal MIC does a better job picking up sound than this piece does. A complete waste of $50 bucks, and its incredibly noisy and it records only in MONO. Would not recommend. I'm sure your internal MIC would be better than this MIC.

Digital camera batteries
Batteries are vital for all photography and makiing sure that you have a spare set is essential if you intend to take alot of pictures. Print digital also recommend that when deciding upon a digital camera keep in mind what sort of batteries it takes. Does it take rechargeable batteries, are the batteries built and do you have to plug it into the mains, or does the camera only take standard batteries, if so then it can become exspensive if you are a keen photographer and use the camera alot. There are three types of rechargeable batteries: NiCD, NiMH and Lithium-Ion. Nickel Metal Hydride are the most popular rechargeable batteries at present. They hold more charge than their counter parts NiCD and don't suffer from memory effect. The one small down fall of these batteries is that they will loose a small amount of charge even if they are not being used, so be sure to check the batteries before using them. When you purchase a new digital camera make sure to ask what type of battery ...
