I have used a 30 of the disks so far and only about 60% of the disks actually worked.
Great Product... Over-Priced...2009-05-13
Memorex CD's work well and I have purchased them before in store. Which is what I recommend that you do, because I believe they were super over-priced on Amazon... However, I an avid online shopper so I suppose I pay the price for it?!
Misconception -- too expensive to return--NOT what I wanted2009-04-23
Misconception -- too expensive to return--NOT what I wanted nor expected. The packaging is the same color Memorex of my CD's for my Sony Mavica camera, supposed to be "pocket disks" and they are not, so I cannot use them. They are too heavy to return (costs too much) so I suppose I must take 100% loss and give them away to someone. I'm now skiddish re: ordering on Amazon, because I do NOT have what I needed and I have these that I do not want and cannot use. Thank you for the opportunity to express info re: my experience.
Reliable Brand for CD's. Great for Backing up music.2009-04-08
The primary purpose of these discs I bought were to serve as backup and if my original CD's get ruined, I'll still have a copy. This was apparently a smart decision I made, since one of my CD's just recently got scratched and skips and gets stuck at the middle of a few songs. It's a good thing that I still have another copy.
As for the quality of the CD's, if I had to describe it in one word, it would be reliable. I burned 50 CD's, I get 50 working CD's. This is extremely important because what if some failed, and you never realized that until your original copy died and when you pop in the replacement CD, only to find a nasty surprise waiting for you: the disc not working. That means that you'll have to pay another $10 for another copy of the CD. That has actually happened to me with a few of the Verbatim ones. At first, I though it was a great buy, with 100 of them at only $22. But when I tried to burn them, half of them didn't work. The success rate did get higher when I lowered the burning speed, but that was never an issue with these Memorex discs. Besides, I prefer the design on the Memorex discs anyways...
If I ever decided to buy more CD discs, Memorex is my choice. My only regret is that I bought the 50-pack instead of the 100-packs... The Verbatim incident forced me to be more cautious. I'm definitely buying the 100-packs next time around.
Great Buy!2009-01-09
Was in need of some CDs so I could clean all my music off my computer. These will hold almost two entire CDs on them, and they do not seem to scatch as easily as some of the other blank CD-R CDs that I've bought in the past. Will have to get more so I am stocked up in the future!

Audio & Video Connections Guide
" For a list of all the ways technology has failed to improve the quality of life, please press three." - Alice Kahn This quote is certainly applicable to consumer electronics. From the very first commercially produced radios to the latest in high-definition television technology, the manner in which the components used to deliver our news, music, movies and entertainment are interconnected seems to have escaped logic. For both the newcomer and the old hand alike, connecting equipment in the most efficient and effective manner can be a painful chore. It is hoped this article will improve your background knowledge concerning potential A/V system connection schemes and where each is most appropriate. The next time you find yourself in a "connectivity quandary" perhaps the ideas shared here will help you to quickly solve the riddle of which wire goes where and why! Core 2 Duo Scaling
Laptop Scaling Intel's Core 2 Duo is easily the best mobile processor on the market today, boasting sky-high performance and low power consumption. But which CPU is for you: the super expensive T7600, the bargain-priced T5500, or something in between? This article will first take a look at the various versions of Core 2 Duo that Intel has to offer. We will compare Core 2 Duo clocked at four speed grades: 2.33GHz, 2.16GHz, 2GHz, and 1.83GHz in a variety of benchmarks and let you know how to get your best bang for the buck. Note: We will refer to a Core 2 Duo “T7000multiple times in this article. We were unable to get a Merom sample with 2MB L2 cache, thus we lowered the clock speed of our 4MB L2 model to 1.83GHz to perform near that of the T5600 (1.83GHz, 2MB L2 cache), resulting in our unofficial “T7000nomenclature. The Core 2 Duo Processor Intel has two lines of Core 2 Duo processors: notebook and desktop. Core 2 Duo for notebooks is codenamed Merom, while Core ...
