Way too flimsy. It feels like it is going to break in your hands.
Handle breaks off and is then worthless2007-06-16
If you apply a good amount of pressure while grating the handle will snap, so if you buy this to add to your fabulous collection - BE GENTLE WITH IT- so it will last, same thing with the egg slicer, the wires will break unless you are gentle.

This thing worked like a champ, impressed friends, and lasted all of 6 months...and then, the plastic screw that attaches the handle to the grating drum snapped. Cheap, Cheap, Cheap! and at $20/per...definately not considered disposable! Look elsewhere. The Zyliss will be my next purchase and I will leave feedback.

Pretty flimsy for a Kitchenaid tool. Plastic construction not sturdy enough to efficiently grate parmesan cheese. Too much work with this tool!
