My First & LAST Canon
2008-02-17My sons and I purchased A Canon Sure Shot80 for Mom for Mother's Day. It's less than a year old and the time delay between the shutter opening and the time you actually push the button has slowly becoming a joke, but we're not laughing. The moment your trying to capture is lost while it tests the light, zooms and a 2-3 second delay for the flash. Where is a good ole' Yashica FX-2 when you need one? If there is a brand out there that lasts, is quality through and through and you would reccomend it after owning one yourself for a while, please pass me a note at dfjjj@att.net. Thanks

Great for 1 Year
2007-07-16I bought this camera and was very pleased for about a year until I went on vacation and could not take pictures. The digital display has an H. Instructions do not tell me what that means. I have tried batteries and film, but it will not take pictures any more. I thought the Canon name meant something.

OK but broke quickly after warranty expired
2007-06-04I bought this as an upgrade from a supermarket $35 model and found the picture quality sometimes better, sometimes about the same as the much cheaper camera. After over a year, the H error code started flashing in the lcd. I can now take one or two pictures at a time before I have to remove the battery in order to reset the camera. The flash often fails to work even with brand new batteries because I have tried new batteries and film. Sigh. The warranty had expired so I am left with an $80 piece of junk. Fortunately, my cheap camera had not sold at our yard sale so it's back in service. I am sorry that Canon is now making disposable cameras and marketing them as durable.

Best point-and-shoot camera I've ever owned!
2005-12-13This camera takes great pictures! I've owned several point-and-shoot cameras over the years, and none compares to this one. It's sleek, lightweight and easy to use. I've been extremely satisified with it and find myself taking pictures all the time. Everyone in my family swears by Canon cameras and my sisters and brothers each have one of their own--it's a terrific foolproof little camera. I strongly recommend it to anyone looking for a non-digital camera.

so so camera
2005-05-07I just developed my first roll of film from this camera and I have to say I was surprised how well the pictures turned out. The pictures had nice color and clarity. We bought this camera as a back up for our digital when we go on vacation. I was not impressed with the fact that we had to buy the battery separate. The other thing I disliked was the viewfinder seemed difficult to use. I have spent more money on junk cameras though, so this one is all right for average-joe-picturetaker I think.

A Quick Look At the Professional Digital Camcorder
Introduction
Professional digital camcorders are better than your analog camcorder, or even your digital video camera. The advancements that have been made in the camcorder industry are amazing. Just like everything else they keep getting more and more advanced, and shrinking in size. Even though we have seen much advancement, the price keeps getting more and more affordable. Professionals are not the only ones who can now enjoy the wonderful benefits of a professional

A professional digital camcorder allows creativity and quality to meet, and the cost is far lower than it was only a few years ago. Even in the late 1990's most professionals were using Betamax professional quality analog recorders, though the professional digital camcorder was starting to come into its own back then.
