Product Description:
Optional Nikon eyepiece diopters allow you to optimize your SLR viewfinder's sharpness in conjunction with your individual eyesight.Eyepiece diopters are designed for specific camera models and are identified by a plus, a minus or a neutral numeric diopter value. . Standard eyepieces supplied with Nikon SLR cameras have no corrective value and are for dust protection only. Select eyepieces are supplied with a rubber coating designed to lessen scratching of a photographer's eyeglasses. . Nikon SLR cameras (without built-in adjustable eyepiece correction) have a base diopter value of minus one. This is why you won't find an accessory Nikon eyepiece diopter valued at minus one. Minus one is considered the optimum starting point for the majority ofSLR users with normal vision. . The combination of the camera's viewfinder components and a clear (standard) eyepiece form a virtual image of a subject on the camera's focusing screen that is the approximate equivalent of a viewing distance of one meter. . Each Nikon eyepiece diopter incorporates a numerical value, represented by a minus value (nearsighted) or a plus value (farsighted) number, enabling you to select the appropriate diopter for your vision and your camera model. . The eyepiece's diopter value is, when combined with the viewfinder's minus one value, the end-result value. No combination of the camera's base value of minus one and a given accessory diopter's value is required to arriv

THE BABY BOOMER ESSENTIAL ACCESORIE
2007-10-15I CAME ACROSS THIS ITEM ACIDENTLY WHILE I WAS LOOKING FOR ITEMS FOR MY NIKON D80. SO I ORDERED IT FROM AMAZON.RECIEVED IT QUICKLY...AND REPLACED THE DIOPTER ON MY D80.............AND WOW.............I DONT NEED MY GLASSES TO TAKE A SHOT WITH MY D80 ANYMORE...........I STRONGLY RECCOMEND THIS ITEM TO MY FELLOW BABY BOOMERS...........YOU WILL THANK ME......

Does what you'd expect, but...
2007-05-18This diopter (close-up) eyepiece does magnify the viewfinder image. For my (64-year old) eyes, it adds a tiny distortion. I can remove most of the distortion with my D80's diopter adjustment but it is at one end of its range and I can't quite remove it all. Nevertheless, I like it enough that I've left the diopter installed on my D80.

A Big Help with focusing
2007-04-12This diopter will assist those who require additional strength over the standard factory diopter included with the camera.

Professional video camera
A Professional video camera (often called a Television camera even though the use has spread) is a high-end device for recording electronic moving images (as opposed to a movie camera, that records the images on film). Originally developed for use in television studios, they are now commonly used for corporate and educational videos, music videos, direct-to-video movies, etc.
There are two types of professional video cameras: High end portable, recording cameras (essentially, high-end camcorders) used for ENG and EFP image acquisition, and studio cameras which lack the recording capability of a camcorder, and are often fixed on studio pedestals. Portable professional cameras are generally much larger than consumer cameras and are designed to be carried on the shoulder.
Technology
It is common for professional cameras to split the incoming light into the three primary colors that humans are able to see, feeding each color into a separate pickup tube (in older cameras) or charge ...
Audio & Video Connections Guide
" For a list of all the ways technology has failed to improve the quality of life, please press three." - Alice Kahn
This quote is certainly applicable to consumer electronics. From the very first commercially produced radios to the latest in high-definition television technology, the manner in which the components used to deliver our news, music, movies and entertainment are interconnected seems to have escaped logic. For both the newcomer and the old hand alike, connecting equipment in the most efficient and effective manner can be a painful chore. It is hoped this article will improve your background knowledge concerning potential A/V system connection schemes and where each is most appropriate. The next time you find yourself in a "connectivity quandary" perhaps the ideas shared here will help you to quickly solve the riddle of which wire goes where and why!
