ClampPod Pro equipment holders clamp onto almost anything, and are designed to support a wide variety of cameras and photographic accessories up to 2 pounds, at many different angles. Designed to hold compact 35mm SLRs, VHS-C, APS, 8mm and digital camcorders or lighting accessories, the ClampPod Pro is perfect for close-up photography, to take along on vacations, in the car, hiking or whenever a third hand is needed.Its flexible steel neck bends in all directions, and the neck assembly unscrews from the clamp base for compact storage. The ClampPod PRO's heavy-duty spring clamp has offset rubber pads for a secure grip and to protect surfaces, and a keyway opening on the clamp enables use on any vertical surface. A ballhead allows for quick, easy adjustments, and can be removed from its flexible neck for mounting directly onto the clamp. Sunpak Camera clamp2009-10-22
I bought this clamp mount for hunting use. It works great as long as you're wanting a still position with no panning capabilities. Otherwise very helpful to use when no other options available for camera mounting or tripod.
Pretty good deal all in all2009-02-10
First, this isn't a Manfrotto, but it is a reasonable clamp at over half the cost. That's the deal. Works great as a small flash clamp or for a small point and shoot camera. I don't recommend using the "goose neck", it makes the clamp top heavy. The ball head works very well on all Nikon flashes up to the SB-900. If you don't want to drill a clamp (diy, I salute you), this isn't a bad alternative.

Over all I like the clamp it was quite a bit larger than I thought....I wanted to stick it in my small camera bag! I guess it probably did have the measurments on it...I was suprised!
When You Don't Have That Flat Surface2007-12-17
This is the only small tripod I could find that uses a `clamp' for those times you cannot find a level surface. It can be clamped vertically to a post, door edge or even a tree, if necessary. The spring clamp is heavy duty, but has rubber pads to prevent any potential damage or scratching. You don't always have a flat surface to film or photograph from. This also holds up to two pounds of weight which will work with most any newer model of camera (not older video cameras). The flexible steel neck makes just about any angle work and it will unscrew for easy packing. Sunpak always seems to have the most `cutting edge' products; even simply ideas like this.
