A couple more cons
2008-12-02The USB cable does not remain flush in the port. I have a Macbook and I find myself having to keep something on the cable to keep the cable positioned in such a way that the unit remains on. The second con is the the little rubber nubs that keep your laptop at a distance so that it can be cooled come out very easily and can be lost. I now have to contact the manufacturer about extra parts. This would be a fine product if manufacturer could improve on the minor flaws it has.

Great Choice
2008-12-02First Time I have a laptop pc, and this product fits very well, works in silence and have two speeds, it's not heavy and fits in the bag for my computer, also works for long period of time, you just plug into usb port and start working, I recomend this product even for the price.

Dissapointed
2008-12-02Bought it on the B/F deal. Received it today Monday. Surprisingly fast delivery from Amazon/USPS. Unboxing/10 minutes of use review:
Pros: Fits my 17" HP okay. The bottom of my laptop is not flat, so the cooler is not lined up "square". Seems to be working fine so far.
CONS: It's A LOT louder than I had imagined. The speed switch is also a volume control - loud and "11". I may get the db meter out and update this post later.

Recommended for any XBOX 360
2008-12-01My Xbox 360 seemed liked it was starting to overheat. Microsoft wanted to charge me $99 to repair it. After looking at intercoolers (and finding that the design was flawed and actually WORSE for my Xbox), I started looking at laptop coolers. I purchased the Antec, received it quickly, and have had it in use for about a week. I recommend this product to everyone with an Xbox. My console has stopped having all overheating problems (unreadable disc, slow load times, etc.) It fits perfectly underneath. The concave curve of the pad even fits the curve of the Xbox and it looks like it is part of it. It keeps the Xbox very cool and is easy to set up. One problem is that on the USB power cord, there is another cord that comes out of the side. As a result you end up losing a USB slot. But, it allows you to piggyback another USB onto it, so you end up with one usable USB slot on the front of your Xbox. As several other reviewers have stated, the power light on the side it very bright. Also, if you use this for your Xbox it will not turn off automatically when you turn off your console, but it is quiet if you leave it on. Overall, this is the best accessory I have bought for my Xbox and as a result, my overworked Xbox will probably last significantly longer.

It works in cooling a hot laptop!
2008-12-01I had some doubts about the effectiveness of a cooler at first, but needed something to cool my Toshiba laptop that kept shutting down because of overheating. This cooler really works! The Toshiba no long shuts down by itself & have not overheated since I started using this cooler. The size is good enough support & stablize the large laptop on my desk. Highly recommended.

Audio & Video Connections Guide
" For a list of all the ways technology has failed to improve the quality of life, please press three." - Alice Kahn
This quote is certainly applicable to consumer electronics. From the very first commercially produced radios to the latest in high-definition television technology, the manner in which the components used to deliver our news, music, movies and entertainment are interconnected seems to have escaped logic. For both the newcomer and the old hand alike, connecting equipment in the most efficient and effective manner can be a painful chore. It is hoped this article will improve your background knowledge concerning potential A/V system connection schemes and where each is most appropriate. The next time you find yourself in a "connectivity quandary" perhaps the ideas shared here will help you to quickly solve the riddle of which wire goes where and why!
