Digital Basal Thermometer
Product Description:
Chart your Basal Body Temperature and predict ovulation - your most fertile time of the month for conceiving a baby - with a specially designed digital BBT Thermometer. When a woman ovulates, a rise in body temperature takes place in order to provide a more fertile environment for conception. By monitoring when this temperature change occurs, you can determine when ovulation takes place in your cycle. Recording each day's basal body temperature with a BBT Thermometer will help you predict ovulation. The Fairhaven Health Digital Basal Thermometer provides temperature readings to 1/100th of a degree - perfect for fertility charting and predicting ovulation.

Good enough
2008-12-02This thermometer is good enough. I wouldn't rave about it because it does seem like it takes FOREVER to actually finish reading your temp. Sometimes up to 5 minutes, which can be incredibly annoying at 530am! But it is better than a regular thermometer because it is more accurate. I would suggest spending a little more money to get a rapid read basal though!

Accurate, easy to use, inexpensive
2008-11-26It was very reliable, simple to use especially very early in the morning. It helped make charting ovulation a breeze. We have a 10 month old son as a result :).

Natural Family Planning
2008-10-29Great for family planning, very easy and simple to read. An easy way to track your body temperature for family planning, will never do pills ever again.

sed it three times and now it doesn't read correctly
2008-10-13It's made out to be one of the best thermometers for ovulation but I found that it just didn't work very well, at all.
The reading took forever, it never beeped, and my temperature was at 92f? Umm yeah that's not even close... I do know very well, how to take my temperature, So I'm not sure what the problem was.
My Husband tried it too but it was also reading his temp at 92f...
Just use a calendar and get knocked up, it's easier and more effective.

Thermometer
2008-08-28Aside from it being pink it works just fine and has a handy recall feature should you forget your last temperature measurement.

Gaining Weight While Exercising: Fat or Muscles?
It often happens to people who started exercising daily: they hope for weight loss and it indeed started but after a while the lost pounds come back plus a few more. What's happening? There can be several reasons and they all can be spotted.1. The initial weight loss was water loss. If you do strength training, it now shows: you are gaining muscles. Measure your body fat % to make sure your body composition is improving.2. You do wrong exercise. If you do too much of aerobics training, your body reacts by slowing down your metabolism at rest. Try replacing a halve of your workouts with weight or endurance training.3. You consume too much calories with your otherwise healthy foods. Calculate your calorie intake, calories burnt by exercise, and figure out whether or not you created a negative calorie balance.4. Since there's no food that us healthy for all and for all purposes, try changing your way of eating: if you ate little fats and too much carbs, switch to a lower carbohydrate, high ...
