A great tool for calculus and physics2008-12-02
This is an excellent tool for anyone taking upper level math or physics courses. It brought me safely through Calc I, II, and III, and has served me well through my undergraduate physics study. This calculator has been able to take virtually all integrals I have given it, which never fails to impress me.

My one complaint is that the graphing technology seems a bit outdated; it's certainly better than the TI-83 Plus, but not by that much. Graphics are basic black-and-white, and are rather coarse. A higher resolution screen and heftier processor would be a welcome addition, which is why I gave it 4 stars. However, I have yet to see a hand held calculator that can match this one's abilities and as such highly recommend it to anyone working with math beyond trig.
Essential for Calculus2008-11-17
This is absolutely essential for anyone taking a Calculus class. This is especially true for later on, such as in the later half of Calc 2 and all of Calc 3. After learning how to manually evaluate integrals and differentiate, as you move on to higher level concepts the 89 titanium can be used to do these manual tasks for you, allowing you to focus on the new material and allow you to practice more without wasting time on repetitive evaluations. I love this thing, and would not take Calc and Physics without it.
Great deal!!!2008-11-11
They were fast and was a lot cheaper than a lot of the other vendors. The product was used but in great shape just like they said it was. I would certainly buy from them again.
Excellent Calculator2008-11-11
I bought this calculator for my grads math and engineering courses and it works perfect. There are some many features which make this probably the best calculator on the market. Yes, now TI launched the Nspire and Nspire CAS, but to be honest, those calculator are far away yet from the Ti-89 Titanium in one of the most important thing: support (programs, applications, etc). I'd wait at least two years to see if TI give more support for the Nspire series, meanwhile I think the Titanium is a powerful machine with advanced functions (numerical and symbolic) and a very decent memory for most of engineering applications.
Great Calculator2008-11-11
I'm an engineering student, and this calculator is a MAJOR UPGRADE over a TI-83/TI-84. It can do so much more once you learn how to use it, and it has helped me on my calculus homework more times than I can count.

It is a must have for any engineering/science student.

Audio & Video Connections Guide
" For a list of all the ways technology has failed to improve the quality of life, please press three." - Alice Kahn This quote is certainly applicable to consumer electronics. From the very first commercially produced radios to the latest in high-definition television technology, the manner in which the components used to deliver our news, music, movies and entertainment are interconnected seems to have escaped logic. For both the newcomer and the old hand alike, connecting equipment in the most efficient and effective manner can be a painful chore. It is hoped this article will improve your background knowledge concerning potential A/V system connection schemes and where each is most appropriate. The next time you find yourself in a "connectivity quandary" perhaps the ideas shared here will help you to quickly solve the riddle of which wire goes where and why! Why You Should Use A Mini DV Camcorder
Introduction The mini DV camcorder has many advantages to offer its users. If you enjoy your digital video camera you will also enjoy this. The mini DV camcorder is easier to take with you than the regular sized cameras such as the hi definition camcorder, or the hi-Res camcorder. The size of this camcorder is one of its big advantages. The features this camcorder can offer are also great. Some cameras offer more features than others, so make sure that the camera has the features you want. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Generally when design, performance and technological improvements are made on electronic products there is a reduction in size as well to make them more compact. For example the early day radios were built in large cabinets and required radio vacuum tubes. Eventually, transistor radios were constructed and were more portable. Today, a radio can be as small as a wristwatch. Camcorders have also evolved in tec ...
