So messy and not satisfactory2008-11-03
This brush came with the starter kit and the hairs fall out or break and end up all over my clothes. I already find the mineral make up rather messy, and this just adds to the mess. The Body Shop makes much better makeup brushes for about the same price and they are cruelty free (synthetic) and they get top reviews on Amazon. I'm going to buy those instead.
Great Deal2008-08-19
Brush worked great , was in excellent condition, and sold for a great deal. Highly recomended.
Not the best brush for your money2008-08-15
I'm sort of a make up fiend and have tons of brushes. I saw the DVD about Bare Escentuals and the lady who exclaimed "wow these brushes are sooo soft" Yeah, obviously she doesn't know soft. This brush is a waste of money really. The bristles are "pokey" for lack of a better word, and it sheds worse than my cat!! I have a brush set from a company that is 2 words, named after the founder. Starts with Mary and it ends in Kay, get my drift. Twice the money for the kit but I got 5 brushes w/ case and they are oooohhh so soft and don't shed. Don't waste your money on this brush, there are better ones out there that do just as good of a job.

Icky brush, icky icky!!
Great intro to brushes, but hurts2008-07-06
I got this brush as part of the intro kit to bare escentuals.
I'm really glad to have tried the brush. I didn't really use brushes before this one.

On the flip side, I don't use this brush anymore. It's just too rough and hard on my face. I don't think I had enough experience to notice in the beginning, not to mention the makeup was so great - it made up for the brush's short comings.

Go for it in the kit. If you want to try a single brush, look for something softer for the same price.
poor quality brush2008-03-10
I thought that since this brush was made by the same company as the much touted Bare Escentuals mineral powder that it would be good quality. I was wrong -- it continually sheds with every use and also irritates my skin pretty badly. Better to try a different brand for this kind of brush!

Charlize Theron
With her luminous skin and vibrant eyes, it's no surprise that Oscar-nominated Charlize Theron is a natural athlete and loves the outdoors. Even on the red carpet, this award-winning South African-born actress is a natural beauty. At the Golden Globe awards, her lightly bronzed skin was the cornerstone of her look -- she used only the barest hint of color. To get a similarly "natural" golden glow, follow this advice from New York makeup artist Carlo Longo. Step 1 Begin by cleaning and moisturizing your skin. Using a clean, damp makeup sponge, lightly apply a sheer liquid foundation to face and neckline where needed. Step 2 Pour a dime-sized portion of a gold- or bronze-tone liquid shimmer lotion into your palm, and apply a very sheer layer of the product to face and neck with your fingertips. Step 3 Add a flush of color to the cheeks with a liquid blush. (It's more dewy than powder.) To apply liquid blush, dot the product onto the apples of the cheek and across the cheek ...
Organize Your Closet -- Finally
Organizing your closet is the kind of chore that you can constantly find excuses to avoid. In fact, it's such an undertaking that it usually takes a traumatic event, like losing your favorite jacket ‑- or having the closet collapse ‑- before you actually get to it. But where to begin? Well, there are actually professional closet consultants who can help. We asked one, Alison Lukes, to walk us through a pain-free way to organize a closet. Don't try this at home alone. Nobody can talk you into keeping things you don't need more than... you. "Women tend to lose objectivity and end up rationalizing why they're keeping ill-fitting or worn-out clothing," says Lukes. "If you can't afford a consultant, enlist a friend's help for the day." A true friend will tell you that if you actually wear those skin-tight purple suede pants, she won't be walking next to you. Divide clothing into three piles. The "keep" pile should consist of clothes that fit and are worn on a frequent b ...
