Best Makeup EVER!!!2008-08-17
After reading some of the negative comments posted on Amazon, I thought I would input my experience with Bare Minerals. I have used the product for a little over a year now and it is still the best makeup I have ever found. I have problematic, acne-prone skin, and since using this product, my skin looks better than ever and my acne problems have gotten better. As always, when trying new makeup, you should test it to make sure you are not allergic. I highly recommend this product and hope everyone can be as satisfied with their makeup as I am with Bare Minerals.
Beware!2008-08-12
I purchased several Bare Minerals products over the past few months, and while I was actually using the eye shadows, I found that the fair foundation was too light, pink, and sheer, and the fairly light foundation was too dark and yellow. I recently mixed the foundations and was happier with the color and coverage result, but after wearing the foundation for two days, my skin, which is very sensitive and rosacea-ridden, became extremely irritated, red, swolen, etc. I have worked very hard to keep my skin condition under control, so this reaction to a foundation that is marketed for people with problematic skin was a big let-down. The eye products were also making the skin underneath my eyebrows very dry, itchy, and flaky, but I did not attribute the results to the make-up until trying the foundation and seeing the reaction on my cheeks.
I am disappointed in this product and the company's failure to inform buyers about reactions to the bismuth oxychloride, which, I discovered after researching it, has no business being on anyone's face, and it seems from these reviews that many people have had reactions to it. There are several companies offering mineral foundations that do not contain this irritant, and many of these companies also offer formaula/coverage options from sheerer to more moisturizing and opaque, and many of them also offer extremely inexpensive and sometimes free samples. I would recommend investing some time researching companies like Afterglow, Alima, Everyday, Aromaleigh, etc., or you and your skin may regret it.
Not for Me2008-08-09
I never liked using liquid foundation because it's difficult for me to put on evenly and always left streaks. Someone recommended that I try Bare Minerals and I used it for a little over a year. I like that this product is so easy to use and it did start this Mineral craze; however, it just doesn't work well for me.

I would say that I have a light/medium COOL skin color, so I have pink undertones. I was disappointed to find that none of Bare Minerals foundations are for women with pink undertones. Check their website for descriptions and you'll see that their line is made up of foundations for golden and (a few) neutral undertones only. The closest foundation I could find was their Fairly Light foundation, which left my skin with an unnatural yellow tint. However, I kept using it because it was an easy alternative to liquid foundation.

Another problem I had with Bare Minerals is the `shimmer' look that it has. I much rather use a foundation with a smooth matte finish, not one that, in certain light, looks like I put glitter on my face. It's great if you like that look, but it just doesn't look right on me. Also, the coverage did not last long, and I would have to reapply the foundation (which isn't convenient when using a mineral foundation).

Lately, I've been searching for a better Mineral Foundation. Someone suggested the Alima Pure Mineral Makeup line and I purchased some samples from their website. I've finally found a foundation that works well for my skin (pink undertones and all) and that has a nice matte finish. They have 60 shades so it would actually be hard not to find the right shade. So, if Bare Minerals works for you, that's great. If it doesn't, check out other mineral foundation lines that offer more choices.

**Warning--there are several reviews about possible allergic reactions that can be caused by this product.
Great product, very natural looking, but always make sure you're not allergic.2008-08-08
Like any product, they do state exactly what "minerals" are in it. You have to look on the bottom, but it has a list of everything going into it. I've got Bare Escentuals bareMinerals Gold Infused Blush Riches (Unboxed), for instance, and sure enough, on the ingredients list is actual gold. I always check the list before I buy. I'm a teenager with Acne-prone skin, and this product has been great for me for clearing up dark spots from acne scarring.

One thing, however, I didn't like was, since the product is powder, it can spill very easily. Don't buy bare minerals if you're the kinda girl who puts on makeup while driving-not that you should be.

Eve
Eve is turning the fashion world on its head. With her bold blend of "gangsta" glamour and designer duds, she has created an entirely unique look that her fans can’t seem to get enough of. And although her clothes may have a harder edge, she keeps her makeup soft, shimmering and very sexy. If you love Eve’s cool urban style, follow these easy steps to make this look your own. STEP 1 Start with a clean moisturized face. Apply a light application of a sheer-finish foundation using your fingers or a sponge. Use a concealer brush to apply cream concealer under the eye, on the eyelid and anywhere else that may need a little extra coverage. Apply a light dusting of loose powder to set your makeup. STEP 2 With your shadow brush, apply bone-colored eye shadow to the entire lid, from lashes to brow. Starting at the lash line, use an angled brush to work terra cotta shadow over the entire lid and up into the crease, extending the color just past the brow bone. Be sure to b ...

Here's how to pull it off with finesse: With dresses With pants With skirts Dresses Pick a dress, any dress this season. And then accentuate your middle with a wide belt. Dresses are the indispensable item of the moment, especially in white and natural, but these faintly colored frocks need some amping up and wearing a belt is the perfect way to do so.
