Absolute waste of money
2008-11-20Product only outputs sound if one of the digital optical cables is plugged in. When I have both my PS3 & DVR plugged in (even with the DVR off) it wont work until I pull the DVR plug out. Complete waste of time and money

Works perfectly
2008-11-09Confirmed, the one from Gadged Dweeb is a switch and splitter. I'm using this as an switch to split one input of my Sony home theater into two and it works fine with two xbox. My only regret is with Gadged Dweeb who didn't send me all the items that I ordered and didn't answer my questions by email. At least they refund me for the missing item.

Didn't Work at all
2008-10-18I have a receiver with one optical input and purchased this in order to use my Satellite receiver and my Xbox 360 optical audio. Didn't work. I can see some red light coming through, but apparently not enough for my receiver.

did not work
2008-10-14will not play both my PS3 and Satelite TV, have to unplug one to make it work. dont waste your money.

Works fine for game systems
2008-10-04Using as an auto-switch for the Xbox 360 and PS3. At first one of the connections was spotty and I had to hold the unit just right to get a solid connection. I thought I had been scammed and that the negative reviews were right.
BUT then I did some troubleshooting and I found that only one of my input cables created a problem. I don't know for sure if this cable is bad or if the switch is more sensitive than most, but the cables were dirt cheap and I had a spare. After substituting the spare everything worked perfectly. Good deal!
