this is.......................2005-04-25
I was seriously put out when my family got a Mac, and I felt some grudge against it.......I just used my Dell with Windows ME. I was saying that I would never allow myself to be a serious Mac dude. Hahaha!
With this insanely amazing computer, my mind was changed, and now I view even the nicest Windows XP desktop with disdain. Windows is inefficient, slower, sort of clunky and just.......blarg. Well, I don't hate Windows, I just don't like the people who are like ohhhhhh Windows is infinitely superior and balbalba.......Bill Gates and his whole story is cool, but those people who refuse to admit that he stole from Mac annoy me at times.
Well. This is without any doubt the most fantastic computer I have used in my entire life. Just the quick way everything works, how fluid and smooth everything opens, closes, loads, everything, is awesome. All the programs are so cool and they all build on each other and......hard to describe, but Windows could never make anything close to this. The nice wide and flat screen makes everything wondrous to look at and gives you a feeling of plenty of space and relaxation. The computer takes up so little space and is very efficient. Yeah....I would never go back to Windows........the ONLY problem is that games for Macs are not always as readily available as games for Windows.
anyway.
buy apple care!2005-04-03
We have always have had a Mac, from a "performa" to a G5 powermac, we love the operating system and the design, but our imac has been in for repairs twice {in 6 months}we still recomend apples , but are not always happy with the Apple Store- And that is another story.
Huge Improvement!2005-03-11
This new Apple iMac G5 17" Desktop has improved from those iMac G3. Don't you remember those Apple iMac G3's with all those colors. I loved that PC because it looked so cool and sleek but back then I would have never bought a Apple. I love Apple now and I think this is one of Apple's best desktops. 17" of pure beauty and if you want even better beauty go with the 20". 1.80GHz is okay speed (nothing special). 80 gigabytes is not enough and you should upgrade to like 250GB. DVD-RW drive is nice and you can burn tons of movies. I heard that Apple designed this from the Apple iPod and it looks kind of like it. I just love how Apple designs their computers. Mac OS X is the best operating system on the market right now and it's on this PC. Check out the specifications.

Why would you go back to a PC.Seriously.2005-03-04
I recieved a iMac for Christmas and I have been BLISSFULLY happy with it.No blue screen of death, great monitor-the first thing people comment on when they see it, always.

iLife is great, there is at least one thing in iLife that helps make your life easier. It makes a LOT of things easier.I love the fact that burning CD's is a snap with this computer, since iTunes comes pre-loaded on the iMac(no downloading it like you would have to do if you had a PC!)
Switch to MAC from pc2005-03-03
My wife saw an iMac G5 at Christmas time and wanted it. She thought it was pretty. I've worked with PCs for over 15 years and wasn't sure I wanted to invest in a Mac. I finally got one three weeks ago and I can honestly say I'm having a blast with it. I work with over 200 PCs everyday fighting spy ware, viruses, hackers and software problems. It is so refreshing to go and use the Mac and not worry about that stuff. OS X is wonderful.

My children are lined up to use the Mac all day long. I have to wait until 10:00 at night to use it and I'm up until late hours playing around. Our poor PC is getting neglected.
The iLife software is wonderful. My 7 year old son figured out how to use iMovie on his own and he's made two movies. I had to get a book to learn it but have made some incredible slide shows and movies. My wife likes it right in the middle of our kitchen so all her friends can see it because it is so pretty. We are having a blast with it.

My friend purchased a PC the same time I got the Mac. After 3 weeks of installing software to protect the PC and configuring it, he can finally start using it. I had the Mac up and going in about 10 minutes. That included wireless Internet connectivity. We have a wireless keyboard and mouse with the Mac. The only cable I have for the iMac is the power cable. No other ugly cables and the Mac is hooked up wirelessly to the Internet.

I would recommend the iMac without hesitation and now I need to figure out how to get rid of 200 PCs and replace them with Macs.

Driving with a cell phone is a lot less dangerous than driving on prescription drugs
There's a lot of debate today about the safety of using cell phones while driving. Statistics show that those who use cell phones while driving cause a much greater percentage of accidents than those who avoid using their cell phones. And the studies have shown that it's not just the physical coordination required to punch numbers into the cell phone while you're trying to work the vehicle that causes accidents; it's actually the lack of attention resulting from driving and talking on the cell phone at the same time. It seems that when you're distracted, you're more likely to cause accidents. In terms of public safety, it's probably correct to say that banning cell phones would reduce the number of traffic accidents. But I think, more accurately, it depends on the person. Some people are operating on, shall we say, lower power CPUs in their heads to begin with. They might be zoned out on prescription drugs, and when you add a cell phone to the equation, they do become a danger to the ...
