Laptop case
2008-11-23The laptop case is just what we were looking for. Light weight and durable.

Perfect for its price
2008-11-18Very comfy and nice to look at. Great number of pockets and zips. I love it. I believe the best for deal for cheap.
There are other backpacks more comfortable or larger but even much more expensive. I'm totally satisfied.

Overrated.
2008-11-16this review is for the "Groove Notebook Backpack", NOT the case, as apparently Amazon is grouping reviews together?
I bought this backpack with little hesitation considering the hundreds of positive reviews, and was very dissapointed:
1. material is somewhat cheap and thin feeling compared to jansports/eastpaks
2. no weather flaps over the zippers? the rain will come right in.
3. the laptop compartment, the crucial feature - the padding is 3/16 inch. It needed twice this width to protect my $1000 laptop!
4. the Velcro strap above the laptop sleeve doesn't have enough velcro on it to pull it even a little bit tight, essentially making this feature useless.
5. the shoulder straps are made of cheap, thin padding (like the laptop sleeve). I have two jansports that use their "air lift" honeycomb rubber padding, and it makes a HUGE difference. If you lug any real weight, I bet your shoulders will be hurting.
6. the bag just has no style. None.
I immediately repacked this item and will be returning it for a refund. There's nothing "un be lie vable" about this deal - in fact it's slightly overpriced at 30 dollars.

Excellent pack, and not just for the price!
2008-11-12I went through 3 other laptop packs before finally finding this one. I tried out a really expensive pack that in the end was just too big and difficult to lug around. I tried two smaller packs with popular brand names attached to them, and both of them broke within a few weeks. The Targus pack fits my laptop nicely, and has room for a couple notebooks, a book, papers, and supplies. In front, there's a nice pocket for my ipod, cell phone, pencils and pens, etc. This pack is slim, comfortable on my back, carries all the things I need to carry with me, and also seems well-made enough not to break anytime soon. I like this pack better than all the other ones I tried, and the best part is, the Targus pack was the cheapest by far.

Great gear - unless you're large!
2008-10-29This was purchased for my Toshiba Satellite laptop as a replacement for a California Pak which was starting to come unstitched.
The Targus CVR600 appears to be very solidly made and has some side-pocket and inside sleeves that are a big improvement compated to my previous bag. It also carries lighter for some reason.
chose this one primarily because of the belly strap.
And this is my gripe.
Even extending the shoulder straps and the belly strap to full length this pack barely fits over a light jacket.
I'm 6 foot tall and have a 40 inch waste, large but not huge.

Digital cameras are good for the environment
As we consider the digital camera revolution that has taken place over the last decade, most people think about it in terms of enhanced benefits for consumers. We can take a lot more pictures at much lower cost with digital cameras versus film cameras. We can also more easily manipulate and share those photos since they're all in the digital realm.
But one thing many people don't think about actually deserves mention as potentially the most profound effect of the digital camera revolution: how digital cameras greatly reduce the destructive impact on the environment compared to film cameras.
At first, you might think, "How can that be? My film camera didn't harm the environment!" Even though it wasn't your camera that harmed the environment, your film processing did indeed harm it. Any time you take your pictures to a photo processing center, that film is run through batches of chemicals. These chemicals are environmental hazards, and once they are used to process film, those chem ...
Digital camera batteries
Batteries are vital for all photography and makiing sure that you have a spare set is essential if you intend to take alot of pictures. Print digital also recommend that when deciding upon a digital camera keep in mind what sort of batteries it takes. Does it take rechargeable batteries, are the batteries built and do you have to plug it into the mains, or does the camera only take standard batteries, if so then it can become exspensive if you are a keen photographer and use the camera alot.
There are three types of rechargeable batteries: NiCD, NiMH and Lithium-Ion. Nickel Metal Hydride are the most popular rechargeable batteries at present. They hold more charge than their counter parts NiCD and don't suffer from memory effect. The one small down fall of these batteries is that they will loose a small amount of charge even if they are not being used, so be sure to check the batteries before using them.
When you purchase a new digital camera make sure to ask what type of battery ...
