SanDisk ImageMate
2010-01-31Works like a charm. Saves a lot of time and batteries with my personal camera, game camera, MP3 player, etc... Even use it to make backups when I travel. Before you buy something like this, make sure it is writable. Most are only readable.

Does not work with 8GB SDHC cards
2010-01-07Be wary of this card reader. It will definitely work with older 2GB SD cards, but if you ever want to move into the present and future, you will not be able to read 8GB SDHC cards. Only some of this model of reader are forward compatible. Sandisk offers up this helpful chart here:

What part number are you buying? Why bother worrying. Don't end up with a paper weight like me; buy a card reader that is certified to work with 8GB cards, or better yet, a reader that will work with cards that have even greater capacities.

This works great
2009-12-25I've had this for several years now, and it hasn't given me any problems. It looks and works great. I currently use it on an XP operating system.

One Solid Card Reader
2009-12-12This card reader is solid, SanDisk knows how to make these things last. I have another Sandisk reader that is several years old and that one works just fine too. I don't use the transfer button on this one because I didn't want to install any extra software.
Attention: Don't waste time on these crappy sub-$10 readers, they will fail very soon. Just pony up and get one of these bad boys that will last forever.

A very good card reader
2009-12-05I have used this 12in1 memory card reader for four years. It still runs well even though I have stuck it into crazy full baggage for many times when I traveled. It is kind of small and easy to carry for a 12-in-1 card reader. Also, I really have to admire San Disk's product quality because this card reader has been used for four years without any problems. The reason that I only gave 4 stars to this product is that it doesn't seem to be compatible with San Disk Extreme III SDHC Card. I was using Smart Media memory card before, and I bought a 8GB San Disk Extreme III SDHC card when I bought a new camera lately. My laptop was dead 30 seconds later when I plugged the SD SDHC card into the reader, and then my laptop was back to normal mode again one minute later; however, the card reader device was automatically removed. I tried a few times, but I couldn't get the card reader to read the SD SDHC card while it worked fine with the Smart Media card. I guess it was because of the version of the card reader is kind of outdated. My smart media card was bought five years ago while this SD SDHC card is kind of new product. I learned that a card reader needed to upgrade too! Overall, I will recommend this card reader because it is fast and has longer life period, but it may not compatible with the newest memory cards.

Printer Buying Guide
What kind of printer is best for me?
Choosing the right printer can be a daunting task. There are several different types of printing technology to choose from, each suited for different needs. Printers come in all shapes and sizes, from tiny travel companions to workgroup workhorses; some are geared toward photographers, others are for multitaskers. And the many specifications for resolution and speed can be misleading.
