Works well as advertised2009-05-07
I never have problems with SanDisk cards. This one was no surprise. With prices this low, I don't see any reason to chance it with other off brands.
Memory addition for Kindle2009-03-01
Received the item in a very timely fashion. Very well packaged and was very simple to insert into the Kindle.
Just the right card2009-01-07
I have used many SD cards and find the 1GB SanDisk card to be the one that serves me best. I do my own photo printing and this one seems to work better than others. It's an excellent card, the transaction went well and I'm very pleased for my own purposes. I know other users will want something with more capacity, but this one is perfect for me. I do think the shipping cost was excessive for the weight of the product, but I couldn't find it anywhere else.
_____________

Just a note to say that it is available, via an amazon link, from another vendor with no shippng charges. I can't recall the name of the other business as they seem to change from time to time. But, the card is available out there with no shipping attached as long as you meet the required minimum purchase for the free shipping.
Review of Digital Memory Card2008-12-16
I received this product in a very timely manner. It works just the same as all others. However, since receiving it, I have found that I could have locally purchased the same product at half the cost and didn't have to pay the shipping. From now on, I will purchase this item locally.

Driving with a cell phone is a lot less dangerous than driving on prescription drugs
There's a lot of debate today about the safety of using cell phones while driving. Statistics show that those who use cell phones while driving cause a much greater percentage of accidents than those who avoid using their cell phones. And the studies have shown that it's not just the physical coordination required to punch numbers into the cell phone while you're trying to work the vehicle that causes accidents; it's actually the lack of attention resulting from driving and talking on the cell phone at the same time. It seems that when you're distracted, you're more likely to cause accidents. In terms of public safety, it's probably correct to say that banning cell phones would reduce the number of traffic accidents. But I think, more accurately, it depends on the person. Some people are operating on, shall we say, lower power CPUs in their heads to begin with. They might be zoned out on prescription drugs, and when you add a cell phone to the equation, they do become a danger to the ...
Digital cameras are good for the environment
As we consider the digital camera revolution that has taken place over the last decade, most people think about it in terms of enhanced benefits for consumers. We can take a lot more pictures at much lower cost with digital cameras versus film cameras. We can also more easily manipulate and share those photos since they're all in the digital realm. But one thing many people don't think about actually deserves mention as potentially the most profound effect of the digital camera revolution: how digital cameras greatly reduce the destructive impact on the environment compared to film cameras. At first, you might think, "How can that be? My film camera didn't harm the environment!" Even though it wasn't your camera that harmed the environment, your film processing did indeed harm it. Any time you take your pictures to a photo processing center, that film is run through batches of chemicals. These chemicals are environmental hazards, and once they are used to process film, those chem ...
