Evenflo Soft And Wide Gate Taupe & Chocolate

I recently purchased this gate, and wish I had known about it before I spent nearly $200.00 on another gate and extensions to fit a doorway of 53" that broke already! This gate is easy to assemble, VERY sturdy, and easy to move. I even traveled with this gate! The chocolate and cream color are attractive, and so is the price! If i would have found this gate earlier, i would have bought 3 or 4 of them. The only issue i can see for others would be that you must step over the gate while it is up, unless you want to take it down and put it back up again. I'm 5'3" and have absolutely no problem stepping over it. However, my husband and I are both athletic and agile. Still, the gate is only about 27" tall. If that is a problem for you, it is still a perfect gate for even a low traffic area, and great to take to grandma's or a friend's house! I highly reccomend this gate!

We bought this gate for our 9 month old crawling baby for use at the bottom of stairs. It works extremely well for areas with uneven surfaces. We use it on a wall that has one side with trim and it works well because you can adjust each side to different lengths if needed.

The only negative is that the adjustment requires you turn the knobs and this can take some time if you have a wide opening or if you need to move the gate a lot. I would suggest getting two gates rather than trying to move one if you do so often.

I was looking for some type of gate for my dogs ... we have four Miniature Schnauzers and I wanted something practical and nice looking. Plus the doorway to our living room is 5 feet wide and I was having a heck of a time finding a one-piece gate to fit it. This gate fit the doorway perfectly and is very flattering. We have hardwood floors in the living and dining rooms and I just wanted to keep those blocked off. The gate still allows us to easily step over it and we love it!

I bought this gate to keep my basset in one part of the house while I'm at work. So far he hasn't eaten through it yet. The nice thing is he can see through it so he dosen't feel like he's "locked up", and also it's tall enough were he can't jump over it either.

I cant comment on if this gate is great or not because I received a backpack instead. Why? I have no clue. Amazon was less than helpful. I had to box it back up and take it to the post office, they would not send me a call tag. Also if the backpack that I didnt order wasnt back in their office in 30 days they would charge me for both the baby gate that I hadnt recieved and the backpack that I never wanted? Doesnt seem fair to me. So needless to say that backpack was out of my home the next day. I didnt want to worry about getting a second backpack so I had them refund my credit card. I still cant see how the 2 could be confused. Very unhappy customer. Good luck everyone
