It's OK...I guess?
2007-12-28Haven't quite figured how to pull clips from feature films to insert into Keynote presentations. Won't work with copyright protected DVD's.
Worth every dollar
2007-07-03I've been using Cinematize since Cinematize 1. Cinematize 2 works very well for me. Before I found Cinematize, I had to do the same thing in very round-about way. I use Cinematize 2 to extract short clips from various DVDs I have and to create favorite scene collections. I also want to mention that my experience with Miraizon tech support has been more than satisfactory. In fact, it's some of the best FREE tech support I've ever gotten. Plus once you get a hang of it, the program is very easy to use anyway. I highly recommend this product! It's a life saver.
Will just have to make do!
2007-03-08The program is good, but limited. I expected to be able to choose the size output of Quicktime movie clips, but found I can only choose size in MPEG-4. There are other unexpected limitations as well. It's a good enough program, but I think what has really soured me on it is the tech support. The person who responded to my email was very condescending, impatient, and rude. When I asked him for help with some of the parameter settings within the program, his advice was to spend more money on his company by buying their Pro version. When I replied that I really just wanted help with the settings in the program I already bought, he told me to buy a book about video compression. Great.
So, it's a good enough program if you already know all about working with video, but if you did, you probably would want a more advanced version. It's not a good purchase if you might need some tech help.

Digital camera batteries
Batteries are vital for all photography and makiing sure that you have a spare set is essential if you intend to take alot of pictures. Print digital also recommend that when deciding upon a digital camera keep in mind what sort of batteries it takes. Does it take rechargeable batteries, are the batteries built and do you have to plug it into the mains, or does the camera only take standard batteries, if so then it can become exspensive if you are a keen photographer and use the camera alot.
There are three types of rechargeable batteries: NiCD, NiMH and Lithium-Ion. Nickel Metal Hydride are the most popular rechargeable batteries at present. They hold more charge than their counter parts NiCD and don't suffer from memory effect. The one small down fall of these batteries is that they will loose a small amount of charge even if they are not being used, so be sure to check the batteries before using them.

Professional video camera
A Professional video camera (often called a Television camera even though the use has spread) is a high-end device for recording electronic moving images (as opposed to a movie camera, that records the images on film). Originally developed for use in television studios, they are now commonly used for corporate and educational videos, music videos, direct-to-video movies, etc.
There are two types of professional video cameras: High end portable, recording cameras (essentially, high-end camcorders) used for ENG and EFP image acquisition, and studio cameras which lack the recording capability of a camcorder, and are often fixed on studio pedestals. Portable professional cameras are generally much larger than consumer cameras and are designed to be carried on the shoulder.
