Great Cleanser
2008-10-24I love this cleanser. It's very gentle and easy to rinse off. Plus, I have very sensitive skin so it does the job without worrying about break outs. I think it's a good value too - I recommend it!

My eczema/rosacea is much improved!
2008-01-21I have been experimenting with facial cleansers for 5 years trying to find one that does not irritate my eczema and rosacea. For years, my forehead, cheeks, and nose have had scaly dry patches that burn, itch, crack, and even bleed. Once I started using this cleanser, they healed up! My skin has never looked this good. The breakouts associated with the rosacea are much fewer. My forehead is smooth and healthy, and I don't ever have to use the topical corticosteroid creams my dermatologist recommended for when my skin gets really bad. I hate those creams because they cause premature aging. I couldn't find anything that would be nice to both the eczema and the rosacea, until I found this product. Hooray!

no more eczema on my face
2007-10-31i used to get red patches on my face because of eczema and now people compliment me for having good skin. I would apply it to my face and leave it on for a minute. Then, I would rinse it off and follow with Apivita moisturizer. It's not great for removing eyeliner though.

Works like a champ
2007-10-20I couldn't believe I was having skin problems in my 50s--but I was. A facialist suggested the UltraCalming Cleanser, and I've been a fan ever since. It's gentle, odorless and makes my skin feel clean without that slimy feel that some products can leave behind.

Branching Out: The Leaf-Print Trend
Fantasy Footwear
We couldn't believe our eyes when they fell upon these stunning metallic sandals with a beaded leaf embellishment, designed by Renè Caovilla ($660). They cost a lot, sure, but a girl can dream, can't she? They remind us of the kind of sandals we might wear salsa dancing. Or in a music video. Or, you know, to flirt with cute guys in Starbucks. If you channel your inner Sarah Jessica Parker, you'll be aching to purchase these showstoppers. Available at NeimanMarcus.com.

Sarah Jessica Parker's Makeup
We fell in love with Sarah Jessica Parker as capricious Carrie Bradshaw in Sex and the City because she lived the dreams and disappointments of every hardworking, unmarried, introspective, fashion-obsessed female we've ever known. In real life, she's married to actor Matthew Broderick and mother to baby boy James Wilkie Broderick. In her "free time," the busy actress makes time to be UNICEF's representative for the performing arts. Here she is looking very "Belle de Jour" in a retro palette of heathery pinks. Makeup artist Deborah Grayson tells us how to get her look.
Step 1: Always start with a clean, lightly moisturized face so that makeup will lie as smoothly as it can. For over-40 skin, Grayson suggests clients try microdermabrasion facials, which polish away surface debris.
Step 2: To get this makeup look, begin by applying a lilac-colored cream shadow to the entire lids with a fingertip.
Step 3: Next, using a rounded shadow brush, layer a matte, heathery lilac over the base co ...
