Netgear Prosafe WG102 Wireless Access Point2009-01-26
This is a great wireless router for the network I'm supporting. I have several in service already and they give reliable wide area coverage at minimal cost.
Works well and does much more than many WAP's I have seen.2009-01-11
I decided to try this model because I was disgusted with other brands of access points, mostly because they either seemed to have trouble supporting simultaneous multiple wireless connections, or would stop assigning new IP addresses (via DHCP) to wireless units requesting access until I reset or restarted the access point. At last, this Netgear WG102 WAP works well and never fails to connect any Wi-Fi unit requesting access. Furthermore, I never realized that any WAP could support multiple SSID's with different encryption modes all at once. But this one does! So, for the first time, I have no complaints about a wireless access point! This one doesn't screw up, & it has more features than I ever thought could be packed into one unit for a decent price (I had ordered it using wishful "blind-faith" not realizing all its capabilities until I received it). Not a smart thing to do, but I was rewarded nonetheless. _Church
    Works great - once it's configured right2008-11-23
This unit works great but it took me 3 days to figure out how to configure it. Netgear support was no help, although they did respond to my e-mail - which just didn't read correctly, so their answer was of no help. The problem turned out that the laptop needed the address of the Verizon DNS server. The Netgear instructions don't get you a clue about that; just how to configure the unit with it's address. I recommend the unit for experienced techies. I've only been working with computers and networks for 40 years - what do I know?
    WG1022008-10-20
The Netgear WG102 is easy to set up and just about guarantees a connection on the first attempt. I liked it so much, I bought four more and am looking for more. Great product!
    good stuff2008-09-16
This product is quite solid... I recommend it to anyone looking for a wireless solution for their home or office. The item was shipped in a timely manner and arrived by the estimated delivery date. I was very pleased with my purchase, two thumbs up!

(The camera also acts as a VCR, so you can play back and watch what you have already recorded through the view finder). White Balance - If you ever ended up with yellow-tinted video, chances are you forgot to white balance. It's worthwhile to white balance every time you use your camera to get the highest quality video. If your camera doesn't have this feature, it may have an automatic or internal system. What white balancing does is adjust the intensity of the colors being recorded according to the existing light. Make sure you white balance every time the lighting conditions change; if you record video inside and then go outside, your lighting conditions have changed and you need to instruc ...
Driving with a cell phone is a lot less dangerous than driving on prescription drugs
There's a lot of debate today about the safety of using cell phones while driving. Statistics show that those who use cell phones while driving cause a much greater percentage of accidents than those who avoid using their cell phones. And the studies have shown that it's not just the physical coordination required to punch numbers into the cell phone while you're trying to work the vehicle that causes accidents; it's actually the lack of attention resulting from driving and talking on the cell phone at the same time. It seems that when you're distracted, you're more likely to cause accidents. In terms of public safety, it's probably correct to say that banning cell phones would reduce the number of traffic accidents. But I think, more accurately, it depends on the person. Some people are operating on, shall we say, lower power CPUs in their heads to begin with. They might be zoned out on prescription drugs, and when you add a cell phone to the equation, they do become a danger to the ...
