vast improvement
2008-11-09I have owned various polar heart monitors over the past decade. This particular band is a huge improvement. The wearlink transmitter detatches. This makes the band and the snaps that hold the transmitter much easier to clean. Also, the strap is one separate integrel unit that doesn't depend on the transmitter to complete the circuit. This makes it easier fot the strap to maintain contact with the skin, and leads to less corosion. All in all a superior product

Good for about a year
2008-11-08This strap came with my M61 Polar monitor. It is very comfortable but sometimes difficult to disconnect. The transmitter began to give erratic readings after about a year. Sometimes, after about 30 minutes of exercise, the readings would settle (it had nothing to do with being wet). I regularly cleaned the strap, but decided to clean all contacts too. No help. I replaced the battery. Still no help. I feel this strap is way too expensive to give only one year of usage!

Cannot workout without it!
2008-10-31This is not even comparable with the strap I got when I bought the unit.
I use it for long hikes/climbs and sometimes I wear it for 12 hours; the old one was leaving me bruises, the Polar Wearlink is just perfect.
Big plus that you can change the battery.
Somebody was complaining it takes a long time before starting transmitting: you have to moisten it and it will work right away!

Polar transmitter
2008-09-30I purchased this item along with a Polar heart rate monitor. The combination enables me to maintain my heart rate within the desired range during cardio exercises. I have also observed that this transmitter works with many of the treadmills, bicycles and eliptical machines at the gym so I can monitor my heart rate on the readout panel of the machine without checking my wrist monitor.

Comfortable, but pricey!
2008-06-08Note: I understand from a friend that Polar USA will take back old/warn-out sensors and send you a new one for $25 or so. You might want to check into that if your looking for a replacement that is out of "Juice".
This replacement sensor is comfortable, but they sure are pricey! I personally never found the old plastic sensors un-comfortable, and if my girlfriend's dog hadn't eaten my old one out of spite, I wouldn't have bought a new one! -Recommended

A Quick Look At the Professional Digital Camcorder
Introduction
Professional digital camcorders are better than your analog camcorder, or even your digital video camera. The advancements that have been made in the camcorder industry are amazing. Just like everything else they keep getting more and more advanced, and shrinking in size. Even though we have seen much advancement, the price keeps getting more and more affordable. Professionals are not the only ones who can now enjoy the wonderful benefits of a professional

A professional digital camcorder allows creativity and quality to meet, and the cost is far lower than it was only a few years ago. Even in the late 1990's most professionals were using Betamax professional quality analog recorders, though the professional digital camcorder was starting to come into its own back then.

Digital camera batteries
Batteries are vital for all photography and makiing sure that you have a spare set is essential if you intend to take alot of pictures. Print digital also recommend that when deciding upon a digital camera keep in mind what sort of batteries it takes. Does it take rechargeable batteries, are the batteries built and do you have to plug it into the mains, or does the camera only take standard batteries, if so then it can become exspensive if you are a keen photographer and use the camera alot.
There are three types of rechargeable batteries: NiCD, NiMH and Lithium-Ion. Nickel Metal Hydride are the most popular rechargeable batteries at present. They hold more charge than their counter parts NiCD and don't suffer from memory effect. The one small down fall of these batteries is that they will loose a small amount of charge even if they are not being used, so be sure to check the batteries before using them.
When you purchase a new digital camera make sure to ask what type of battery ...
