great for keeping anything electronic items cool
2008-12-01I had problems with my Verizon Fios modem that was very hot (I leave it on all the time), so I got this fan. Great item. It has a knob to adjust the speed of the fan & it is not very noisy. Since it is portable & don't need a computer's USB to power up, I was able to use it to cool my other electronic gears (DVR, Tube amplifier). I leave this fan on all day everyday for a month and a half now & it still working great. Highly recommended, I'm going to get another one of this.

Great Fan
2008-11-23As described, this is a really good fan. I use it to cool the inside of a desk where my computer sits.

Great fan
2008-10-31Great little fan but a tad larger than I'd hoped for. I use it for my macbook pro that gets pretty hot when it's plugged in and charging. The one thing I don't like about the fan is the power connector. It's super short where the cord meets the housing and it's very difficult to unplug from the USB cable.

Works great
2008-10-21My CPU is enclosed in a desk side compartment and does not allow enough heat to escape. I placed the fan on top of the CPU facing out towards the open door. It significantly reduces the heat in the compartment.

Keeps my (audio) monitors cool.
2008-10-20Perfect. Just what I needed. I have a recording studio and I use professional powered monitors which sometimes shut down when the bass pushes too long, too loud. These little fans solve that problem.

Printer Buying Guide
What kind of printer is best for me?
Choosing the right printer can be a daunting task. There are several different types of printing technology to choose from, each suited for different needs. Printers come in all shapes and sizes, from tiny travel companions to workgroup workhorses; some are geared toward photographers, others are for multitaskers. And the many specifications for resolution and speed can be misleading. As a rule of thumb, inkjet printers are a must for long-lasting photos, while laser printers are best to produce speedy text documents.

Digital cameras are good for the environment
As we consider the digital camera revolution that has taken place over the last decade, most people think about it in terms of enhanced benefits for consumers. We can take a lot more pictures at much lower cost with digital cameras versus film cameras. We can also more easily manipulate and share those photos since they're all in the digital realm.
But one thing many people don't think about actually deserves mention as potentially the most profound effect of the digital camera revolution: how digital cameras greatly reduce the destructive impact on the environment compared to film cameras.
At first, you might think, "How can that be? My film camera didn't harm the environment!" Even though it wasn't your camera that harmed the environment, your film processing did indeed harm it. Any time you take your pictures to a photo processing center, that film is run through batches of chemicals. These chemicals are environmental hazards, and once they are used to process film, those chem ...
