- ASIN: B0009835UA
- List Price: $169.99
Product Description:
Imagine holding a conversation on your Bluetooth wireless phone while entering a car that has a Motorola Bluetooth car kit. Your phone conversation would automatically transition from the phone to the communication system within the car. You could toss the phone into your briefcase and seamlessly continue your conversation via the communication control panel installed within the car. When the conversation ends, you could choose to initiate another call by using voice dialing features. With the car kit, a highly stylized "communications control panel" will be professionally installed into the dashboard. This panel, similar in function and appearance to a car radio, houses volume buttons to easily adjust and control volume.

Second unit works fine...
2008-03-24First unit delivered worked normally for 6 days then went dead. Replugging its power cable brought it back to life: just like a cat it happened 9 times and then I sent unit back for replacement. Second unit has been in two weeks and works fine. My recommendations? Good unit but SAVE ALL RECIEPTS - you may need them again...

Motorola HF850
2008-02-14We installed these kits in 3 of our service trucks for use with Motorola i580's. The kits are simple to install, easy to link with the phone and work very well, even in our louder diesel trucks. I especially like the feature that mutes the radio automatically when you make or receive a call.

Hands Free - so easy and safe
2008-01-12This is the second of these units I have purchased. While there is some difficulty in adapting to newer cell phones, this unit works very well in my wife's car with her RAZR 3 cell phone. It creates a much safer means of communication as it requires only touching one button on the dash mounted unit to initiate or answer cell phone calls. The voice recognition makes it even more safe as it allows your attention to remain on the task of driving and not dialing. Such devices should be required for all cell phone using drivers. By the way, while this unit is less sophisticated, it gets the job done and at a very reasonable price.

Overall really good so far
2007-12-07I installed it on my jeep today. So far it is really good. It is quite loud and people can't tell that they are on speaker phone. I have no problems with vehicle noise interfering with my calls. Other people with smaller, quieter cars complained of problems with noise but I don't have that problem and I drive a really loud car. My only complaint is that the double sided tape that came with it to mount the control panel and the mic really sucks. They both fell off within hours of the install. I solved it by using some other double sided tape I had so it wasn't a big deal. The install was really easy for me. If you know your way around cars and your car's wiring its really easy to install...otherwise have someone else do it.

Average to good
2007-08-23First the good news. I have had it installed on my car for about one and half years and it mostly works great. It has remained paired with my phones, and I have had few connection problems. Most calls are clear on both ends. Sometimes, road noise can be a problem though.
Now the bad. Voice dialing only works when I am in a parking lot. Otherwise road noise interfers and the system can't hear me. So basically it is not a hands free unit (for outgoing calls).
I had the unit professionally installed. The first unit was defective, and I had a very difficult time working with Motorola. Their support (in India) is terrible. In the end I returned the unit to the store (this was a lot of trouble as the store did not want an opened unit back, but you only find out that it is defective once it is opened). Also, how do you send a partially installed car kit back to Motorola for evaluation? The installer only found out that the unit was defective after he had completed the istallation. The second unit has worked fine.
In all, I have been happy with the unit and would recommend it with two caveats. First, don't expect a true hands free unit. Second, don't expect any customer service from Motorola.

Why You Should Use A Mini DV Camcorder
Introduction
The mini DV camcorder has many advantages to offer its users. If you enjoy your digital video camera you will also enjoy this. The mini DV camcorder is easier to take with you than the regular sized cameras such as the hi definition camcorder, or the hi-Res camcorder. The size of this camcorder is one of its big advantages. The features this camcorder can offer are also great. Some cameras offer more features than others, so make sure that the camera has the features you want.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Generally when design, performance and technological improvements are made on electronic products there is a reduction in size as well to make them more compact.
For example the early day radios were built in large cabinets and required radio vacuum tubes. Eventually, transistor radios were constructed and were more portable. Today, a radio can be as small as a wristwatch.
Camcorders have also evolved in tec ...
Finding the Right Digital Camera

Finding the Right Digital Camera
The overall goal of the Imaging Resource website (www.imaging-resource.com) is to help people chose and use digital imaging technology as effectively as possible. As simple as they are to use, choosing the right digital camera involves a number of decisions. Key issues are computing platform, image quality, onboard image capacity, exposure versatility, feature set, and included software. In this article, we'll lead you step-by-step through some of the issues to consider in making a purchase decision, and at the same time, suggest some things to look for in the test images we've collected on our website.
