2008-11-25I love my Kitchenaid Pink Shears, but cannot get black (newsprint) off the handles. I have tried the dishwasher, scouring powder, magic eraser and even bleach. Help!!

Cook For The Cure?
2008-08-05Having bought EVERY pink item in the last several months. I was dismayed to discover that none of the money was going to CFTC just because I had bought them. Seems that in VERY small print on the hang tag, there is a disclaimer. You have to go online and register the product. Only then will KitchenAid fork over the Money...... Yes for something as small as a set of measuring cups or a knife, you have to register.
Of course I discovered this long after I had thrown away the hang tags. So I went to LOWES and wrote down the UPC from the items they still stocked there. They were out of several items I have and didn't know if they were getting any more. So now I am off to the mall kitchen store. Wish me luck. Oh and SAVE those hang tags.
I am posting this same complaint on every kitchenaid item at amazon

nice scissors
2008-06-11Kitchen aid makes good, sturdy utensils. These scissors are no exception. And they come with a plastic cover for the blades. And they are pretty pink {which is the real reason I bought them}.

Nice Kitchen Shears
2008-02-25They are sharp, good weight, sturdy, and work well. They have a nice, clean cut. The grip is comfortable. They come with a plastic guard. I kept it as a safety precaution for my drawer. This would be good for people with children. It takes a little pull to get it off and might be enought to prevent children from using them without supervision.

The best kitchen shears I've used so far.
2007-06-11These KitchenAid kitchen shears are sharp, good looking, and very well built. A worthy kitchen tool indeed!
The incredibly sharp micro-serrated edge do a very good job of cutting as wells as keeping the item you're cutting from slipping around. The soft handles are easy to grip without paining your hands. Also, the handles have a solid rubber core, not metal, which keeps you from using the shears for jobs beyond its capabilities. (Which I tried to do and foolishly could have hurt myself much less ruined a great pair of shears.
These shears also hold up well in the wash. I've washed mine in the dishwasher many times without problems so far.
This is my third pair of kitchen shears. And if I ever need to buy myself a new pair of shears down the line, I'm definitely buying Kitchenaid kitchen shears again.
Finally, it's pink. I think it's great. Even if you don't buy these shears in pink, this is a worthwhile tool to have in the kitchen. Tool like these are worth paying good money for to save you from frustration later on.
