Sturdy, very flexible mounting system, instructions could be better
2008-08-28After having my 40" Sony LCD for 3 years I decided to mount it on the wall to save some space in my study to make room for a home theater system. Did research on Amazon then went to the Peerless website, which had my TV listed and confirmed that this was the mount for me. Very simple, sturdy construction with a wide variety of fasteners nicely packaged so I just needed to find the size that fitted the back of my TV.
Placing the mount itself on the wall was simple - the kit came with 4 heavy duty lug screws to secure it to the wall. The instructions were very good about how to measure and place the mount on the wall. Even someone who hasnt attached things to studs before could do this.
Attaching the brackets on the TV was pretty simple too, and I preset the ratchet and set screws to what I thought would be about the right angle. That was key, because once its on the wall, its very difficult to get back there to set stuff. Mounting the TV on the wall bracket only required me and a friend, and centering on the wall was pretty easy. Getting the set screws on the bottom bracket tightened required a flashlight and a very long screwdriver.
My only complaint was with the instructions. They had limited diagrams and forgot to mention you have to take out a locking nut that limited the tilt angles. Once I removed those, using the rachet mechanism was very straightforward.
Even with the knock on documentation, I think the simplicity and sturdiness of this mount (especially at the price I got it from Amazon) should make this on anyone's short list.

Highly recommended
2008-08-25Light weight and lot of mouthing hardware. Great customer service. Highly recommend this TV mount.

Easy clean install !
2008-08-19This is a strong, well built wall mount unit. I used this to mount my 50inch Samsung Plasma and it works great! Simple to use and easy to angle to your liking. I will be buying a second one for the bedroom ! Well recommended.

Wall Mount
2008-08-17It's everything that you'd expect from a TV wall mount. I cannot think of anything more to say about it.

Excellent
2008-08-07I got someone to help with the installation (which I'd recommend) but the whole thing was pretty straightforward to put up. Maybe took 25 minutes, and my Samsung 32" HDTV fit perfectly without issue. Actually, the only possible one (a minor one) is that the horizontal frame is still pretty visible from the left and the right sides with my 32 inch TV, which takes away from the clean look I was hoping for on the wall. Bigger TV's will definitely hide the frame best. The tilting is awesome as well, great for me to add and remove component connections as needed. Very happy with the purchase.

Printer Buying Guide
What kind of printer is best for me?
Choosing the right printer can be a daunting task. There are several different types of printing technology to choose from, each suited for different needs. Printers come in all shapes and sizes, from tiny travel companions to workgroup workhorses; some are geared toward photographers, others are for multitaskers. And the many specifications for resolution and speed can be misleading. As a rule of thumb, inkjet printers are a must for long-lasting photos, while laser printers are best to produce speedy text documents.

Core 2 Duo Scaling
Laptop Scaling
Intel's Core 2 Duo is easily the best mobile processor on the market today, boasting sky-high performance and low power consumption. But which CPU is for you: the super expensive T7600, the bargain-priced T5500, or something in between?
This article will first take a look at the various versions of Core 2 Duo that Intel has to offer. We will compare Core 2 Duo clocked at four speed grades: 2.33GHz, 2.16GHz, 2GHz, and 1.83GHz in a variety of benchmarks and let you know how to get your best bang for the buck.
Note: We will refer to a Core 2 Duo “T7000multiple times in this article. We were unable to get a Merom sample with 2MB L2 cache, thus we lowered the clock speed of our 4MB L2 model to 1.83GHz to perform near that of the T5600 (1.83GHz, 2MB L2 cache), resulting in our unofficial “T7000nomenclature.
