Battery (spare) for P2000 photo storage unit2009-09-29
I have both Epson P2000 and now the later model P3000, both rated at 40GB storage capacity. I went to Japan for cherry blossoms with another photographer. I took the P2000 for post processing when I returned, whereas my friend took his laptop for immediate download and work on images after the days shooting. I filled the P2000 with images totalling 32GB and since the storage unit is rated 40GB I wanted to continue and add more images, however it locked up at 32GB
and all I could do was take out the battery and charge. Epson's local office in Toronto was not helpful in fixing the P2000, I have not lost the images but I am unable to select as I wish. So I wondered about the battery life and I have
purchased another battery, but regrettably the P2000 still locks up. With my frequently used P3000 I never store many images as I did during my visit to Japan (I should have taken my laptop) and I use the P3000 as a viewer only.
With added recent firmware I can view images from Olympus E3 in addition to all my Canons on the P3000. The P2000 therefore is little used now, hopefully the new spare battery will do something for me
Works for P-6000 as well2008-12-08
Three cheers for Epson for not making a slew of different batteries to fit into its line of photo viewers. My husband owns a P-2000; I recently invested in a P-6000 (see my review on the product page) and all the batteries are interchangeable. This makes life much more comfortable when we're traveling together and viewing one another's photographs.

I bought a couple of these for spares, since I use my P-6000 to watch MP4 movies on long plane trips. With three batteries my unit will play MP4s for nearly ten hours.

I'd buy more like a shot. Good job, Epson.

(Edited to add: Was looking for a way to power up batteries, since I have several of these and it's a pain to charge only one battery at a time by taking them in and out of my photo viewer. I found an aftermarket battery charger for the EU-97 and D-11A batteries - the two models that power the P-series Epson photo viewers - at an alternative website. It will charge two of these batteries at a time. It's made by a company called Impact and retails for about $19.99. It also comes with an optional power supply for your automobile.

I'd link but I don't think Amazon allows URLs from outside retailers. I found it at a very popular photographic supply website based in New York City with two initials in its name: The second letter of the alphabet and the eighth. Wish Amazon would sell the product as well.

Good luck!!)
Works as expected2008-07-15
It's a fine battery. What else can I say!? Useful for field work when backing up your images.
A Great Product2008-05-29
I have used the Epson P-2000 for 3 years now and it is a great tool for people who take a lot of digital photos and want to view them away from their computer. The screen quality is amazing and the device has a long battery life. If you simply turn it on to upload pictures at the end of a busy day's shooting and then turn it off, it can last for up to 2 weeks.

I have found that it is easy to download photos and be able to keep my compact flash card free for more photos. Great device for travel and used as a backup tool.

Core 2 Duo Scaling
Laptop Scaling Intel's Core 2 Duo is easily the best mobile processor on the market today, boasting sky-high performance and low power consumption. But which CPU is for you: the super expensive T7600, the bargain-priced T5500, or something in between? This article will first take a look at the various versions of Core 2 Duo that Intel has to offer. We will compare Core 2 Duo clocked at four speed grades: 2.33GHz, 2.16GHz, 2GHz, and 1.83GHz in a variety of benchmarks and let you know how to get your best bang for the buck. Note: We will refer to a Core 2 Duo “T7000multiple times in this article. We were unable to get a Merom sample with 2MB L2 cache, thus we lowered the clock speed of our 4MB L2 model to 1.83GHz to perform near that of the T5600 (1.83GHz, 2MB L2 cache), resulting in our unofficial “T7000nomenclature. The Core 2 Duo Processor Intel has two lines of Core 2 Duo processors: notebook and desktop. Core 2 Duo for notebooks is codenamed Merom, while Core ...
