Great versatile tripod for lightweight camera/flip video recorders
2009-07-04This is a great, lightweight, compact, versatile tripod. It is great for lightweight cameras and camcorders, it is not a good chose for large camera. Rubber feet ensure it does not slip on any surface, and the 'bendable' legs make it a snap to adjust height, direction of shot, etc. There is also a very small and functional 'quick mount' that attaches to the camera and then quickly snaps into the tripod body - it is so small that the camera still fits into an already tight fitting camera bag - making it super quick to move from holding the camera by hand and snapping it back into the tripod. The flexible legs do work, but if you attach the tripod to something smooth without something for it to grip onto (like a handrail), the whole tripod and camera will rotate and flip around - to prevent this, you just need to ensure it is 'locked' or wrapped around something that will prevent it from rotating - for example, you can use two legs around a handrail and the third leg against the wall for a handrail, etc. Overall, great value for the money - it is for the novice and quick shooting, but fits great in a large pocket or backpack (I have carried mine all over Germany and Spain - much better than an old one with metal telescoping legs).

Small, fun, versatile and it works!
2009-06-28My 15-year old granddaughter was the one to whom I gifted it to match her new blue digital camera (and the Gorillapod Flexible Tripod was blue, of course, and that was a big incentive to purchase). She used it on her recent trip to Kauai, Hawaii. She enjoyed it and stated that it was very user friendly. I have purchased one for myself in red to match my camera and am looking forward to trying it.

It's not perfect, but it's a very good tripod!
2009-06-14The only complaint I have about this tripod is that it is not stiff enough to hold my camera sideways without falling over.
It is great for wrapping around things or standing on a table-top.

Great product!
2009-06-10This product is very useful and durable. You can attach it to almost anything and I love that it comes in a different colors. Its great for taking pictures without leaving anyone out. I would definitely recommend this product :)

Great Little Tripod. Very Light and Flexible.
2009-06-06Best micro-tripod I've ever used. Extremely light and will mold into whatever position need for the moment (e.g. tripod, clinging onto handrails, etc). The colors are fun too.

Finding the Right Digital Camera
By Dave Etchells
Finding the Right Digital Camera
The overall goal of the Imaging Resource website (www.imaging-resource.com) is to help people chose and use digital imaging technology as effectively as possible. As simple as they are to use, choosing the right digital camera involves a number of decisions. Key issues are computing platform, image quality, onboard image capacity, exposure versatility, feature set, and included software. In this article, we'll lead you step-by-step through some of the issues to consider in making a purchase decision, and at the same time, suggest some things to look for in the test images we've collected on our website.
We're interested in your feedback and experience! We invite you to elaborate on this article by leaving comments via the database link at the bottom of the page. You can also give feedback in our "Forum" discussion-group section.

Digital cameras are good for the environment
As we consider the digital camera revolution that has taken place over the last decade, most people think about it in terms of enhanced benefits for consumers. We can take a lot more pictures at much lower cost with digital cameras versus film cameras. We can also more easily manipulate and share those photos since they're all in the digital realm.
But one thing many people don't think about actually deserves mention as potentially the most profound effect of the digital camera revolution: how digital cameras greatly reduce the destructive impact on the environment compared to film cameras.
At first, you might think, "How can that be? My film camera didn't harm the environment!" Even though it wasn't your camera that harmed the environment, your film processing did indeed harm it. Any time you take your pictures to a photo processing center, that film is run through batches of chemicals. These chemicals are environmental hazards, and once they are used to process film, those chem ...
