Samsung TXS2782H 27" Slim Fit HDTV

This TV is an amazing value. Better than LCD quality & all the features you need for the new era.

I have no idea what folks are complaining about! This TV is awesome. My son bought the 30" widescreen version and he loves it.

I'm looking at LCD TV's for another room right now and when comparing prices this TV is still a winner if you care about what the picture looks like vs. whether or not it is an LCD. Quality and price, just awesome.

This is my sixth Samsung TV since 1983. The 1983 Color TV still works.
Samsung is the best value on the market today.

First off i want to say that I am not uspset w/samsungs customer service reps , their just doing their job like the management wants, but their warranty policy sucks. I bought the 30 inch model(txs3082-in home warranty service because of size) ) of this tv at circuit city and 6 months later it developed a growl when turned on. Sounded like a bad flyback transformer although I am no tv tech.I must say the picture quality was good, not perfect but I was ok with it.So I call Samsung customer service May 30, i tell them i live in San Diego County, they say call Davids tv but I live to far so Davids won't help me so I call back Samsung customer service and they say there is no one else in my area
( yea 3 million people in the county and no one else?!?!?). So the customer service rep say they have to do a complete zip code check of the whole area to try and find another shop and it will take 14 working days, call back on Jne 18.So 14 w/days pass and no reply so I call back, this time I'm told my service request has to go up the chain of command to the executive regional service something or other (like being back in the NAVY lol). They say that will take another 3 or 4 days. So i wait for 4 days and CB and now I am upset and I let them know it. So know the customer service manager says how sorry they are and says he'll get ahold of the regional Samsung repair/store rep but they can't/won't give me his/her name because that isn't their policy to provide customers with that info. They say please wait another 3-4 days for a reply about getting the set fixed. Finally on June 25 Poway Rancho Bernardo TV send out some guys to get the set and take it to the shop for repairs. On july 6 Poway TV says Samsung sent them a bad power module and there is another problem with the TV and they are waiting for Samsung to contact them. Now it is July 17 and I still don't have my TV back.
I am not sure how this will turn out, but I will be hesitant about ever buying another Samsung Product. It just is not worth the frustration, waste of time and effort to get them to honor their warranty.

I used to work for Best Buy and got one of these, got it home-hooked it up-low and behold, the geometry problem was there, I know how to work on tvs so I got into the deflection part of the service menu and adjusted it for 2 hours and got about a 5% improvment. It wasn't acceptable so I returned it and got the store brand Insiginia (they have a 27" crt hdtv)-100% improvment. Stay away from Samsung slimfit tvs-they all have the same distortion problems.

THIS TUBE TV IS ALL IT CLAIMS - EXCELLENT PICTURE QUALITY AND GOOD USER INTERFACE. WOULD BUY IT AGAIN.

The T.V. is actually very good and was a gift. The box was received at work by my warehouse guys, no outside damage therefore they signed for the box. Upon giving the gift to my daughter 2 weeks later we discovered the t.v. to be damaged. It had been dropped or something, but because we signed free and clear I am stuck with a damaged t.v. I suggest any shipment as this even if the box looks good, to take item out and look it over before signing. This was not a cheap gift but I am stuck with it.
