Lancome Definicils High Definition Mascara Waterproof

I've used lancomes mascaras for more than a decade,yet never tried this waterproof mascara. Great when you want a mascara on for a very,very long time:-) I had such a hard time getting this one off. Staying power is too much for me. I'll go back to non-waterproof!

I use L'Oreal basic mascara that you can find in the drug store but L'Oreal own Lancome so the mascara are probably really similar. By far I think that this mascara is the best out of the prestige lines.

At long last a lustrous mascara that lengthens lashes, delivers color that does not smudge, and absolutely, positively refuses to clump!

This bravo winning performance may be due to the precise placement of the rubber brush segments. They're carefully aligned and not all pushed together as in some other mascaras. Hence, lashes are lifted and separated as color is applied. In addition, the wand is slim for easy maneuverability on both upper and lower lashes. The new smooth glide brush is a major coup!

I've ALWAYS had the problem with my mascaras smudging, running, looking like I'd gotten in a fight with Mike Tyson. But not this one! This is the absolute BEST mascara I have EVER used. It IS sort of difficult to remove, but boy, does it sure stay in place! I've gone swimming wearing it, showered with it, etc, and NO SMEARS EVER. Excellent product. I hope Lancome keeps this one around for a LONG LONG time! Very pleased.

I'm usually a drugstore mascara girl--my current fave is Maybelline's Full and Soft--but I had the opportunity to pick this up cheap, so I decided to try it. Immediately, I liked the thinner-sized tube (can't stand those overly fat mascaras!) and the stiff-bristled brush. The product is a bit on the dry side, but I much prefer that to wet and gloppy. There wasn't too much product on the brush, and it was easy to apply. I definitely noticed a lengthening effect beyond what I've seen with any other mascara, which was great because it made my small eyes look much more open. Also, the product stayed put all day long, absolutely no smudging or flaking. My only slight disappointment was that it left my lashes looking a bit thin, as the effect is long and spidery; I guess I'm used to the fullness I get from my everyday mascara, Full and Soft. I will continue to use Definicils for times when I particularly want more length, and I've found that I can layer it with my Full and Soft to get both the length and fullness I want. I would repurchase this if I could get it for a discount again, but I would not pay full price.
