No problems with mixed mode networks2008-11-22
Whatever the issues were in the reviews dated in 2006 appear to be completely resolved. I installed this unit in November 2008 and I get full speed between 1Gig ports despite having some 100Meg cards active on a few of the ports. This unit runs cool (just a tiny bit of warmth near the front), and the ports are well-spaced. For an inexpensive 1Gig switch this does the job just fine.
drama-free, affordable L2 connection2008-11-03
File transfers and remote desktop on the local network have improved performance. The LEDs aren't blindingly bright which is good as my unit is in my bedroom. Doesn't run hot, unit is pretty light, easy to pull off it's resting place with a tug on a cable.
8-Port Gigabit for $40...Awsome!2008-10-31
My only quirk, I would have included mounting holes on the top. I mounted it upside down. From more than 5 feet you cannot tell
Easy to use2008-10-28
Just plug in and it works. Sparse documentation came with the unit on how to use it. The bonus software "Network Magic" is a nice addition.
Worked for less than 12 hrs2008-10-25
The switch worked for less than 12 hours. It worked great right out of the box. Then in the morning it tried to get online and nothing. All that happens now is the power light blinks. I spent 45 minutes talking to someone who made it apparent that they knew very little about the product and was going off a checklist. Very frustrating I will not buy another and hope I never have to talk to their tech support again. I would have given it a zero if I was allowed to.

Digital camera batteries
Batteries are vital for all photography and makiing sure that you have a spare set is essential if you intend to take alot of pictures. Print digital also recommend that when deciding upon a digital camera keep in mind what sort of batteries it takes. Does it take rechargeable batteries, are the batteries built and do you have to plug it into the mains, or does the camera only take standard batteries, if so then it can become exspensive if you are a keen photographer and use the camera alot. There are three types of rechargeable batteries: NiCD, NiMH and Lithium-Ion. Nickel Metal Hydride are the most popular rechargeable batteries at present. They hold more charge than their counter parts NiCD and don't suffer from memory effect. The one small down fall of these batteries is that they will loose a small amount of charge even if they are not being used, so be sure to check the batteries before using them. When you purchase a new digital camera make sure to ask what type of battery ...
