As others have said..."still the best."
2008-08-19These blades still give me the best shave of any available...anything more than two blades is a waste in my opinion. The three and four blade models just don't stay close enough to the skin going across curves...which makes sense considering they are wider from top to bottom. Having used the original sensor since it came out, the Excel series really added a great level of closeness and comfort.
As other's have stated, they are getting harder and harder to find...which is a shame. Also, they still seem overpriced considering how long they've been around...but they won't break the bank like the newer models. It's like Gillette is forcing everyone to the newer versions to make up for all their unnecessary R&D. Get them while you can...your face will thank you!
Easier to get on Amazon than in my grocery store
2008-06-30Razors are a matter of personal preference, so reviewing them is not going to be of much help as each person needs/likes something different.
But what is great about these is that my grocery store locks them up and you have to track down an employee to unlock them for you, which can take longer than the rest of my shopping does/should.
So the fact that Amazon will sell them for the same or less and ship them right to my door makes it easier to get them online than it does in person.
So if your grocery store treats all of its customers like criminals, I suggest buying things like this via Amazon instead.

2008-05-27I really like the Sensor Excel because it is easier to use than any of the newer "gimmicks" as I like to call them AND it does give me a close shave. Plus, most important, it's alot cheaper than any of those newer gimmicks out there that Gillette and Schick are trying to push...
Not bad, but I prefer the original Sensor
2007-12-16Hi... I've used both the Sensor and the Sensor Excel cartridges. These Excel cartridges are supposed to be better because of the rubber strip in front of the blades, which supposedly smoothes the skin to prepare it for the blades. Well, in my experience it just creates more drag. The original Sensor glides over the skin more smoothly, so I would recommend going with it instead of the Sensor Excel.
Still the best
2007-11-15These blades are becomming hard to find, but I still think they're the best blades around. They provide a cleaner shave than the regular Excels and are a lot cheaper than any of the three-blade varieties.
