Plantronics Headset2008-11-04
This headset is fantastic! Very light weight, lots of range for our office (1 story brick building), can go outside and still communicate. Only downside is volume buttons difficult to operate as they are stiff.
Significant Backround Noise, Poor Range, Slow Mute Process2008-10-15
I'm on the phone several hours a day while sitting in front of my computer. I've had previous Plantronics headsets that I was happy with. I can't walk very far from my desk (30 feet or so) before it starts beeping in my ear. Muting is an awkward and slow 3-second process that involves holding down the volume control key. Why not just had a simple one-function mute key?

The most significant problem is that it picks up a lot of background noise and callers tell me they can hear my keyboard as if its right in front of them.

I've been pretty disappointed with this one.
Former CS50 user -2008-09-17
I used a CS50 for years. Didn't like the weight of it on my ear - I would frequently take it off when not planning to be on a call for a while. However, I could walk 1/2 way across a call center (the length of 3 football fields) where the infrastructure is concrete and steel and still get awesome reception.

The CS70 however is much more comfortable and lightweight and less bulky than the CS50. Because the CS70 is so light, I need to adjust how it sits on my ear more frequently as it will become unseated as I move about. Otherwise, it's so comfortable, I wear all day w/o issues. I can affirm the other reviews - I lost signficant range when I went from CS50 to the CS70. Now I have about a 4th of the range I had with the older CS50 model. I usually don't take calls 150' from my desk so I opted to use the more comfortable device. Great sound quality from both devices (talking and listening). Each headset takes about the same amount of time to charge but when I first got the CS70, it would need recharging more frequently than the CS50. Seems to last the day now.
Great2008-07-22
A little bit over priced, but it is light weight and comfortable. The voice is loud and clear and the range is great. I love it.
-EXCELLENT PRODUCT - A MUST FOR ANY BODY IN SALES OR SERVICE2008-05-16
I am in sales and am on the phone constantly either selling or servicing clients with their files in front of me and needing both hands free. I have three lines with three separate wireless phones and three separate wired headsets that would last about 4-6 months. Finally I had enough! I started looking for ONE HEADSET THAT WAS WIRELESS to service all three lines. After many many many hours of searching and reading reviews I ended of with CS70/HL10 DECT 6.0 BUNDLE SYSTEM. I LOVE IT! THIS HAS SOLVE ALL MY PROBLEMS. I will only address the negative reveiws. #1 The range: BETTER than my previous setup by 20ft(this almost kept me from buying this)NOT A PROBLEM! #2 the earpiece:there has been some discomfort but exceptable considering many hours of use #3 The charging cradle: this is sensitive to get it just right but NOT A PROBLEM.There are a few different volume adjusments (on the base and headset) that has taken alittle while to hone in, but I liked those options. I have had the CS7O/HL10 DECT 6.0 BUNDLE SYSTEM WITH LIFTER for 6 months(as of 11/2008) and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS HEADSET FOR A SMALL OFFICE AND DON'T BE CHEAP GET THE LIFTER it will just make your life easier.

Audio & Video Connections Guide
" For a list of all the ways technology has failed to improve the quality of life, please press three." - Alice Kahn This quote is certainly applicable to consumer electronics. From the very first commercially produced radios to the latest in high-definition television technology, the manner in which the components used to deliver our news, music, movies and entertainment are interconnected seems to have escaped logic. For both the newcomer and the old hand alike, connecting equipment in the most efficient and effective manner can be a painful chore. It is hoped this article will improve your background knowledge concerning potential A/V system connection schemes and where each is most appropriate. The next time you find yourself in a "connectivity quandary" perhaps the ideas shared here will help you to quickly solve the riddle of which wire goes where and why!
