Customer Reviews

cool
2009-06-22This camera was affordable and was delivered quickly. I had to keep the USB cord from my old camera in order to upload pictures and the battery latch doesn't always close all the way. Overall, though, it is a great camera that gets the job done.

Very disappointed
2007-12-27This camera worked fine for about a year. It ate batteries but took OK pictures. First the door to the battery compartment broke; then I started getting "file error" & was not able to view my photos on the camera screen. Finally, I couldn't turn it on - the button would NOT work at all. Very disappointed - will not buy another SONY.

Great little camera
2007-09-01I got this camera for Mother's Day two years ago and am very happy with it. Only problem I had is that it eats batteries but I got a charger and all is well. Am not good at reading manuals but the service people at Sony were extremely helpful and patient with me. I'd highly recommend this product.

Camera basics: shutter-speed, aperture and ISO
In this article, I’ll introduce you to the basic elements that you can use to control exposure in your shooting. Photographs are taken by letting light fall onto a light-sensitive medium, which records the image. Traditionally, this has been film, but more recently, it tends to be a digital sensor. The more light that falls onto the film or sensor, the lighter the image.
Put simply, a camera consists of a light-tight box that stores a light-sensitive device (either a film or a digital sensor), a lens that magnifies and focuses the image onto that light-sensitive device through a hole in the box (called the aperture) , and a shutter that opens ...
