good idea, should be able to work from year to year
2010-07-15My only real complaint about publisher is that you cannot use it from one production year to the next. Because of this, I've gone to using Adobe Illustrator for all my publishing needs. I simply cannot understand why Microsoft insists on limiting the year-to-year versatility of Publisher. I have multiple documents I've created over the years but I cannot access them on my work pc because it has a newer version. For all their ingenuity, this is repeatedly and extremely disappointing. Ultimately, it ensures that Office is fading.

Publisher 2007
2010-06-24I've used publisher before, and am glad to have it back on my computer. Love what I can do with it, but wish it was easier to convert to Microsoft Word. After creating documents, I usually need to send to people who do not have publisher, and they can not open it, so it needs to be converted. Maybe I just don't know a easy way to do this.

great investment
2010-05-11This was purchased to make a program for a school function. Within 20 minutes I had created a pamphlet, and shortly after that was able to navigate with relative ease around the various screens to do functions such as editing, importing word documents, inserting pictures, clipart, and more. It only takes a little patience to study how to do it, and I was able to borrow template designs across various types of cards, and adapt them to my liking and color. I have created 2 invitations and one program, and am still a novice at this, yet what I have created is sure to rival any professionally designed brochure or invitation.

2010-03-13When I bought Microsoft Publisher 2007, I had hoped to get a feature that was in an earlier (1995?) version of Publisher or Word that rated the level of the document written as "High School", "College", etc. and suggested editing directions. Unfortunately that feature is not part of Publisher 2007 and I am not all together sure what I will be able to use it as I wrote my first book with all the normal book items, like table of contents, chapter titles, etc, already in it. I will know more when I get time to learn the ins and outs of Pub 2007.
