look nice, works good2009-01-07
I bought two of these to the long hallway in apartment. I can now walk to the bathroom in the middle of the night without having to turn the lights on since they can be quite bright. The also add a modern touch to the décor.
Puts off the right amount of light2008-08-30
I just got these last week to put around the house for when my 3 year old gets up in the middle of the night. They look nice and put off a nice glow that allows you to see your surroundings.
works ok, but dont overpay2008-07-06
I bought this when it was six dollars, don't pay the higher price they run it sometimes at thirty dollars + . It is worth 6 and does ok.
Good but not great2008-03-10
Pros: Neat looking, energy efficient, good amount of light, light detection switch works well, lifetime warrenty
Cons:
1. There are only 2 leds, not 3 listed in the technical specs
2. Unit is big and will block the second outlet. You will most likely have to unplug unit if you want to use a vaccum cleaner or anything alike.
3. My kid loves to mess with the louvers on the thing.
Overall:
I really like the it. I have only had it for a few days, but it gives my home a uniform lighting look at night. Hopefully they last for awhile.
Innovative and looks good2008-01-12
Produces a reasonable amount of light that can be directed downwards with the fins so that it illuminates the floor without being blindingly bright when you look directly at it. This is a great choice for lighting a hall or doorway where you don't want to illuminate the whole room. It takes up enough space that it is difficult to use the second outlet for anything other than a small two-prong plug, so this is not a great option if you often need the second outlet for something with a power-brick. It looks good - very much like a theatre-style path-light and is not obtrusive. The sensor turns it on when there is a low light level but there is no on-off switch. Not a big deal as the LED should be using very little power. It does not generate perceptible heat when in use.
