Mega Candy Warheads
2009-01-07This is the best stuff I have tried that's sour. I shared my warheads with my brothers!!! They loved it!

sour!
2008-09-16So, I was a kid when these first came out. They were really, really popular. ..anybody who was anybody ate warheads. I think the reason they were so popular was because kids would have contests-who could eat the most of these, who could hold it the longest before spitting the thing out, who could get the most in their mouth at one time...it was a status thing, basically. Most of us were a little scared of the candies because there would always be rumors of some kid in New Jersey who ate too many and whose tongue fell off-as far as I know that never actually happened, but when you're 7 or 8 you don't know that. Our moms probably started that one. However, if you ate too many your tongue would eventually go kind of numb and feel raw like you burnt off all your tastebuds, so the theory that someone's tongue burnt off altogether seemed pretty plausible. They'd also give you a stomachache.
So, as far as sour candies go, these are the sourest I know of. Just thinking about them still makes my lips pucker. However, they really didn't taste that good. I remember Black Cherry was by favorite, but the other ones I wouldn't touch. Good memories all around, though!

Truly Sour
2008-06-22Other candy claimed as sour usually are not. Extreme Warheads is one of the leaders in lemon quality bitter sourness!

Fish and Eicosapentaenoic Acid
Eicosapentaenoic acid is an omega-3 fatty acid. It's also called timnodonic acid or 20:5(n-3). All fatty fish species contain significant amounts of eicosapentaenoic acid in their tissues but the best source is considered to be cold salt-water fish, especially cod, and especially cod liver oil.
However, the best source in this case is not the the highest in 20:5(n-3) but can be rather the most common and easy to manufacture the fish oil supplement of. Here are some numbers to compare.
100 grams of cod liver contains 6.90 g eicosapentaenoic acid; herring (all flesh) is a little bit lower in in it -- 6.27 g; menhaden has 13.17 g of it while salmon has almost twice the amount: 13.02 g, and sardine has 10.14 g.
Fish oil, eicosapentaenoic acid, and omega-3 supplements are clinically proved immuno-stimulators, anti-cholesterol and anti-tumor agents, can help to fight off arthritis and some skin diseases and bone diseases.
