Customer Reviews

A GREAT LITTLE MACHINE!!
2009-11-24I bought this DymoTag Plus as a replacement for one that I'd had for many years. This New Model far surpasses the one I had! I love the features on this new one, it has so many options for labels! I also like having an AC Adapter so I don't have to depend on batteries.

Not as good as other Dymo products
2009-11-10I purchased this mostly because it is supposed to be able to print clear labels. Unfortunately they come out pale and streaky - almost unreadable. It does work well on white labels.
I have had a Dymo postage/label printer for 2 years and it is excellent. Apparently the quality of their product line varies quite a bit.

Unreliable and difficult to RMA
2009-10-28I bought the Letratag at another vendor. The build quality is nothing to write home about. It is somewhat cheap and plasticy.
It worked properly for a day but then started printing extremely long labels, perhaps a foot long, with one or two light gray letters in the middle. It would also repeatedly refuse to work saying the tape was jammed, even after I made sure it ran smoothly.
The process to contact DYMO support is cumbersome requiring registering your email address and opening an account with their website. They were not able to provide any assistance to enable me to fix the problem myself. The online suggestions are poor and bore no relation to my difficulty with the printer.
I was told the thermal head draws heavily on batteries when it prints and unless the batteries are nearly brand new, printing can be negatively affected. I think it should be made clear to purchasers that you will have very high battery usage with this product as you will frequently have to install fresh batteries. You should consider buying the optional AC adapter to economize. Another disadvantage I noted from the users manual is that the labels fade very quickly unless they are kept out of the sun in a cool place. This too should be brought to people's attention.
Customer service were polite via email and they suggested an RMA but this became problematic because of my location, and really, for a product costing below $20, the trouble is too great. Easier to throw it out I decided.
So my recommendation is, buy a competitive product instead. I have bought the Brother portable and rechargeable labeler to replace it and will review that later. It has received numerous positive reviews on Amazon so lets hope it does a better job than the Dymo.
On the whole, a difficult experience with a mediocre (at best) product with very expensive consumables

A little heavy but good overall
2009-10-20I've only used my LetraTag a few times but I can see that it will be very useful in the future. I read all the reviews and even viewed several videos made by satisfied users and one woman talked about how light it is in the hand. Not so, at least in my judgment! I would prefer a colored plastic label to the clear plastic one they provide, and the paper label might be useful when I organize my papers. I wonder if they include these two label choices knowing that customers will have to purchase replacement cartridges to get what they want. In any case, it works easily and efficiently. I'd recommend it. I do wish they'd include the AC adapter though especially since I've learned that the LetraTag burns through batteries.

quality product
2009-09-18bought one three years ago, used a lot, still functioning well.
Tape also stick well.

Professional video camera
A Professional video camera (often called a Television camera even though the use has spread) is a high-end device for recording electronic moving images (as opposed to a movie camera, that records the images on film). Originally developed for use in television studios, they are now commonly used for corporate and educational videos, music videos, direct-to-video movies, etc.
There are two types of professional video cameras: High end portable, recording cameras (essentially, high-end camcorders) used for ENG and EFP image acquisition, and studio cameras which lack the recording capability of a camcorder, and are often fixed on studio pedestals. Portable professional cameras are generally much larger than consumer cameras and are designed to be carried on the shoulder.
Technology
It is common for professional cameras to split the incoming light into the three primary colors that humans are able to see, feeding each color into a separate pickup tube (in older cameras) or charge ...

White Balance - If you ever ended up with yellow-tinted video, chances are you forgot to white balance. It's worthwhile to white balance every time you use your camera to get the highest quality video. If your camera doesn't have this feature, it may have an automatic or internal system. What white balancing does is adjust the intensity of the colors being recorded according to the existing light. Make sure you white balance every time the lighting conditions change; if you record video inside and then go outside, your lighting conditions have changed and you need to instruc ...
